I've got a fucking wedding Reception to go to on the 25th,whixh is within the winners on our group play. If we win the group I'll be going late to that do.

Sturridge said he has God to thank for the opportunity, must have been him gave Roy a tap on the shoulder at half time then.

I've not been keen on Kane, Sterling, Lallana, rooney, Alli in these 2 games. I don't think they've produced much (although Lallana has done plenty of running around). I'd have all their places up for grabs.
He's defo got to go 2 up top and start Vardy and Sturridge.

Hodgson made very good subs. They won the game for England.

They'll both start the next game

It seemed like he made them because he only had 45minutes to save his job, both should have appeared in this tournament much earlier than half time today when we were one nil down.

You'd be mad to drop Alli.

He is one of the only players alongside Studge with real x-factor in your team and he will only improve.
He's pushed off the ball far too easily, he keeps hold of the ball longer than Lallana (which is saying something!), & he over hits most of his passes.

On the plus side he gets into good positions, but he does it at the expense of better players being there.

Dier needs to be banned from ever chipping a ball forward again. SIX chips into touch or the keeper's hands. Criminal.

Hodgson's getting too much credit here IMO. If he'd picked Sturridge and Vardy instead of Kane and Sterling in the first place we wouldn't have had to depend on substitutions to win the game. Even after he put them on he proceeded to unbalance the side by sending Rashford on for Lallana, who had been one of England's better players.

Like Istanbul ?

Yeah i suppose you're right

Surely it would make much more sense to play Vardy out wide and Sturridge up top? It's very weird it's the other way round.

I don't think so. Vardy is a scorer, but not a great all-around player – he should only be played as a #9. Whereas Sturridge plays more as an AM even when he IS a lone striker – that's just his game to drop deep and look for one-twos with midfielders. I think Vardy or Kane up top with Sturridge in behind is a good combination.

England's best front six is probably Vardy/Kane, Sturridge, Lallana, Rooney, Milner and Dier.
