Deadline day ...

A load of shit players going to shit clubs in the main.

SSN raving about how good the move to City is for Mahrez, despite still saying it's not agreed & just a bid.

City put in a final bid worth 'up to 65m' for Mahrez.

Just put a 70m no strings bid in FFS.

We have no real backup capable of slotting into that front three & this lad could, it's half the Coutino money, no-brainer choice.

No, VVD was half the Coutinho money.

Can Mahrez play anywhere other than out on the right?

We've already ruined Mane by moving him out to the left to accommodate Salah.

I thought they would have thrown us a bone on the final day or two just to keep the heat off them. Bit like in the summer when we were supposedly about to blow £200m on Van Dyck, Keita & Lemar and ended up with AOC for £35m. Now we have Van Dyck but his fee has come out of the Coutinho money, probably Keita as well.

They are playing with fire because the fanbase are starting to get uneasy.

I guess they just think that if they hold on for another couple of years, take the next TV deal money, maybe finish the capital investment programme with a new Anfield Road stand and Melwood/Kirby redevelopment then they can sell out or sell off a few shares and start to take their profits out.

Deadline day is a pile of shite and always has been....

Im not quite sure what the club is doing tbh.... we have basically sent out 2 of our decent CF on loan when we have CL to play for and top 4 to contend with....

If Firmino and say 1 of Mane or Salah get injured we are fucked....

Plus the fact we have a very light midfield also concerns me.

If FSG think that Liverpool supporters are dumb enough to think that buying VVD for 75m and all our prayers are answered after basically selling Coutinho and loaning out Sturridge and Origi then they are very much mistaken....

Its glaringly obvious we need to bring in 2 decent CM's if you ask me... the disconnect between defence and attack needs to be sorted there now if you ask me....

Why we dont bring in 2 decent defensive midfielders I dont know.

We've sold Lloyd Jones
Anyone give a fuck to where?

Luton for the 3 posters who do

Is this really something people think?

Yes, Mane might prefer occupying different spaces, but take a look at that Huddersfield game. He got a lot of touches, in good areas, where he used to be quite dangerous. He didn't have a shit touch and show a lack of aggression (like not turning into available space, not dribbling, not committing to 50/50s) because he was on the left, he's just not been on form. I suppose you could argue that that is all a confidence thing, but I think its much more likely that he's been out of sorts due to his injury, than anything else. I don't think he's quite as fast either.

GIROUD UPDATE
Chelsea
have reached agreement in principle with Arsenal for the transfer of Olivier Giroud, Sky Sports News understands.
We believe the 31-year old striker has undergone a medical and will sign a contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2019, with an option for another year.
Giroud’s agent travelled to London this morning to conclude the deal, thought to include a transfer fee of £15.3m with £2.2m in bonuses.

A deal has been agreed - an 18-month contract with the option of a further year."

We are apparently looking to sign a North Korean,

Han Kwang-Song. Striker 19 year of age

Spurs have been after him too..

Fucking Lizards in cohoots with Kim

I think Mane is very close. I'm not worried about him. He made a lot of the right runs, and could have had 2 or 3 headed goals, as well as made more than he did from a further few dangerous situations. He worked as hard as I've seen him do in quite a while last night (even more so than against City). Yes, things aren't quite going his way, but his movement and pace are still getting him into dangerous positions. I think we could see him finish the season very strongly.

BTW, I also think the idea Mane has been 'ruined' through being moved is spurious thinking.

City walking away from the Mahrez deal apparently after Leicester asked for 95m, part of which was a player going the other way.

They have stated there was no actual bid though.

There's no way they turn down 70m imo.

If we could do 65m plus Markovic, that'd be fucking boss.

We get 100m just for qualifying for the CL.

We have about 150m from Coutinho. Even if we paid for VVD with that we have 75m left.

Just pay the fucking money you cunts.
