If anyone thinks Sterling is anything but an above average footballer they're smoking crack. Can't shoot for toffee and consistently makes the wrong choice. I'd bite someone's hand off for anything over £20m.

At this point I'd be actively trying to flog him to City. They always overpay and everyone knows they're desperate for young English players. You could probably do them for at least £50m for him.
As a bonus you get an edge over a direct rival for the top four. It'd be like a transfer six-pointer.
Then we'd spend it all on Bolasie, Ings and Austin. Then we'd have to listen to people on here twisting themselves to justify it. It's not worth it. I've had enough of our shite over the last 20 years.

His shooting is bloody awful. I mean, every player has the odd mis-hit but time and again you watch him and think, 'Don't do that...' and he goes ahead and does it. The ball barely reaches the keeper.
The crowd were getting on his back today. He's not played recent events very well, he's been shit since all this transfer nonsense materialised. I do think he'll end up leaving because he's alienated himself, he's got an arsehole of an agent and a vastly inflated opinion of himself. I really wouldn't be arsed if he went.
I noticed Sterling kept his distance from the rest of the squad at the end while Stevie was saying his goodbyes. He had his eye on his kids which is fair enough but he stood 10 yards away from the rest, I think he feels out of it not committed.
I was expecting to get emotional about Gerrard going but the reality was we were so shamelessly wretched today I just felt flat afterwards. It just felt as though a top player from some mediocre club was saying his farewells. Yes, today I realised how supporters of, say, Norwich feel.

Kinda. I also felt sad that despite how little the current Stevie can offer, it's clearly several degrees higher than the rest of our squad can deliver.
I regularly back some players, Henderson being the main one, but even he can't begin to match Steven's talent, passion, confidence, will to win, ability to build a team ethos, the only thing he can match him for is workmate, & even that I have to temper with the fact he is a modern player, in that he analyses his desire & passion & chooses when to use it.
Shameful performance that was. Spineless shithouses throughout this squad. And £36m in Balotelli and Markovic not even in the matchday squad tells its own story. Shite.

Originally, I was bothered about him potentially going but now I couldn't give a flying fuck.
Might be because he's been crap in a lot of games with his finishing etc but I honestly think it's steaming from the fact I've little faith in modern day players. All a bunch of money grabbing twats. We've some good lads in the squad don't get me wrong but who's to say they'll show any loyalty if greater offers come there way in future...Coutinho being another one next summer if stock continues to rise. Loyalty and pride in the shirt is now a rare thing and it's distancing the relationship between players and fan.
Also, I'm not from the City myself, but it's gutting and distressing we've lost that Scouse Heartbeat within the Club. Age catches up with us all and likes of Carra and Gerrard couldn't go on forever but before them we always had local players and some of the greatest ever to play for LFC at that. I don't know, it's all a bit sad.
God, oh to be able to reach into a TV and punch someone. Ian Wright is on BT Sport now laughing his head off about the result and saying 'That's Liverpool, they've always let Gerrard down, ha ha ha!' How many European Cups have the Gooners won again, you inveterate race card-playing, incompetent, total waste of space?
