[article=http://en.clubatleticodemadrid.com/noticias/agreement-for-the-transfer-of-mario-suarez-to-fiorentina]Mario Suárez will play in Fiorentina. The agreement between the clubs is complete and will be formalized in the next few hours. The midfielder has travelled with permission from the club to join the Italian club’s discipline.

The Spanish International thus closes a successful cycle of five consecutive seasons as an Atlético, where he won a League, a King’s Cup, a Spanish Super Cup, a UEFA Europa League and two UEFA Super Cups. The club wishes the best to the home-grown player in this new stage and thanks his dedication and professionalism with which he contributed to the sporting successes achieved in recent years.

Since his return to Atlético in 2010, Mario Suárez has raised six titles. Only a few weeks after joining the discipline of the first team from Mallorca, the midfielder celebrated his first trophy with the red and white, winning the UEFA Super Cup against Inter Milan.

Mario had won a place in the first team and would continue contributing from the midfield to the growth of the team. Not in vain, we closed the 2011/12 season as champions of the UEFA Europa League and with the player as a starter in the final against Athletic in Bucharest (3-0). A few months later, the team would beat the European champion in Monaco. Chelsea was defeated by a thunderous 4-1 in the UEFA Super Cup by our team.

There were more successes to come. Mario Suárez was also a starter in the final of the King’s Cup won at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid (1-2) and was part of the squad that was League champion and European runner-up in the historical 13/14 season. Last year’s Spanish Super Cup is the last title h won as an Atlético.

Mario Suárez joined our club in 1999 and climbed categories reaching the second team in 2004. During the following two seasons, he played in Atlético de Madrid B to debut with the first team on the 6th of November of 2005 against Sevilla.

In the 2006/07 season, the midfielder played on loan in Valladolid, contributing decisively to the promotion to First Division. The following season he was loaned in Celta, before being transferred to Mallorca in the 2008/09 season. His progression in the two seasons he played in the vermillion team were worth his return to Atlético in the summer of 2010.

Regarding the national team, Mario Suárez was runner-up of the European Under-17 and champion of the European Under-19. He was also an international with the Under-20 and Under-21, before debuting on the 6th of February of 2013 with the senior team in Doha (Qatar), in a friendly match where Spain beat Uruguay (3-1).[/article]

[article=http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/150722-jose-manuel-jurado-joins-watford-fc-from-spartak-moscow-2564371.aspx#3f7Dfs84qH5V0xCg.99]ATTACKING midfielder José Manuel Jurado has completed a permanent move to Watford from Spartak Moscow.

The Spaniard has signed a three-year contract with the Hornets ahead of their 2015/16 Premier League campaign.

A product of Real Madrid’s youth setup, the 29-year-old made a handful of appearances for Los Blancos before moving to near neighbours Atletico Madrid in 2006.

Jurado played 115 times for Atletico, including 64 outings and nine goals in 2009/10 as the side managed by current Watford Head Coach Quique Sanchez Flores stormed to Europa League glory and a runners-up spot in the Copa del Rey.

The playmaker signed for Bundesliga side Schalke 04 in 2010 and went on to appear in the Champions League and the Europa League. He also performed in both the DFB Pokal and Super Cup finals, scoring in the former as part of a 5-0 win over MSV Duisburg in 2011.

After 72 games and nine goals for Schalke 04, Jurado was loaned to Spartak Moscow in September 2012, a move which was later made permanent. He played 77 times for the Russian outfit, scoring 14 goals.[/article]

Duvan Zapata - Udinese (2 year loan)
CKg83DPWwAAROyF.jpg

[article]Napoli striker Duvan Zapata has officially joined Udinese on a two-year loan, as part of the Allan deal.

Brazilian midfielder Allan officially completed his move to the Partenopei yesterday, and as expected the Colombian forward has moved in the other direction.

“Udinese Calcio announces that it has acquired Duvan Zapata on a two-year loan from SSC Napoli,” a statement on the Zebrette’s website confirmed.

“Zapata will remain in Udine until June 30, 2017. The player has already joined up with the rest of the team, and is in the squad for tonight’s friendly with Panathinaikos.”[/article]

I remember him from some report about his dissatisfaction with Benitez's treatment of him at Napoli. If you look at his game log over his 2 league seasons there, he scores or assists often when he starts - at least at a 1-in-2 clip. He'd win them a game, and be back unused on the bench or getting garbage minutes the next game. In the two seasons, he finished with a rate of a goal every 100 minutes or so, but only played 500+ and 600+ minutes. Not sure why Benitez had him in the doghouse. Could be interesting to see how he does if he gets a fair go at Udinese.

Gerard Lopez - Barca B (Head Coach)

[article=http://www.fcbarcelona.com/football/barca-b/detail/article/gerard-lopez-new-barca-b-coach]FC Barcelona officially announced on Wednesday that Gerard López will be the Barça B coach for the next two seasons. The new coach, who is currently the Catalan national team boss, was born on March 12th 1979 and is himself a product of the Club’s academy system before becoming a first team player between 2000 and 2005.

Gerard López will attend his first session with the players on Wednesday evening at the Torremirona complex and upon the announcement of his new job, he told the media:

“It’s an honour to come back to Barça. My family has close connections with the Club and I spent a long time here – coming back is the best thing that could have happened to me”.

“As Barça B coach, I will have two objectives: getting the side back into Segona A and helping to prepare the players to make the step up to the first team”.

“My experience in the academy system will be of great use to me because I can put myself into the players’ shoes. I’m eager to start work and I am sure that alongside Pep Segura, we’ll do a great job”.[/article]

[article=http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9679-gers-confirm-holt-signing?]JASON Holt becomes Mark Warburton’s seventh signing of the summer after he penned a three year deal with Rangers.

The former Hearts man had been on trial at the club and impressed the new manager to earn himself a contract - he scored in the 2-0 win over Ayr United.

At 22-years-old he will be another young addition to Warburton’s ever increasing squad and he joins after his contract with the Jambos expired.

Rangers’ fans will remember the diminutive midfielder for his impressive strike against Gers in Hearts 2-0 victory at Tynecastle last November.

That was one of two goals he netted for Hearts last season before he moved to Sheffield United in January for the remainder of the campaign.

Holt made 11 starts for the League One side and scored five goals, including one against Bradford, with new teammate Andy Halliday playing for the opposition that day too.

That wasn’t his first loan away from Tynecastle, Holt also had a spell with Raith Rovers during the 2011/12 season - he made five appearances for the Fife side and scored once in his time at Stark’s Park.

Born and bred in Edinburgh, Holt had been at Hearts since he was nine-years-old, having risen through their youth system to progress to the first team.

He went on to turn out for the capital side 62 times and scored seven goals, two of those coming against Celtic.

The new Rangers number 23 has also been capped at U19, U20 and U21 level for Scotland – making 17 appearances for his country in total and scoring twice as an U19.

CKg3k6nWEAAyG42.jpg

[article]Rayo Vallecano confirmed this evening their fourth signing ahead of the 2015-16 season. Diego Llorente joins the Vallecas club, moving from Real Madrid on a season’s loan. Llorente has been a player on both Paco Jemez and Rayo’s sporting director, Miñambres wishlist for some time and the advances to secure his services last season proved fruitless. This time around, the initiative came from the player himself who was anxious to not spend another season playing 2B football. The player will now join up with the Rayo squad in Neuruppin (Germany), where the Spanish club are preparing for their friendlies against Hertha Berlin and St. Pauli.

The 21 year old Llorente is a defender but can play in any defensive role. He made his full Real Madrid first team debut in the 2012-13 season and was used by Ancelotti in the Copa del Rey game against Cornellá last season. He played for Spain in the 2013 U-20 World Cup.[/article]

The 20-year-old completed a medical and the necessary paperwork earlier this week, and manager Chris Hughton says the striker will bolster his forward line.

The Albion manager said, "Vahid is a centre-forward with a good goalscoring record this year in Finland - we hope that is something he can replicate here in England.

"He's a tall, powerful player, and he is someone we see as adding to our attacking options - but he's a young player, and someone we would see as an option within the squad at this stage.

"I want to see him pushing for a place in the squad at some stage this season, but it's likely he will begin by playing some games for our under-21 side to help him make the transition to English football."

Hambo began his career as a trainee at HJK Helsinki, before spending two years in the academy at Sampdoria. In 2014 he signed for Finnish side FC Ilves, and switched to Inter Turku this year.

The Finnish season runs from April to October, and during the current campaign, Hambo has scored 14 goals in 13 appearances - including a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over ROPS.

Albion fans will have to wait to catch their first glimpse of Hambo, as he is currently sidelined by a minor ankle injury, which is expected to rule him out for approximately two to three weeks.

Hambo also made his debut for Finland's under-21s earlier this year, and has scored three goals in two matches. He has also represented his country at under-19 and under-17 level. [/article]

[article=http://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/article/derby-county-swoop-to-sign-jason-shackell-in-skybettransferfund-deal-2567837.aspx#J6wBUUj6JzWdvqWM.99]Derby County have moved to re-sign defender Jason Shackell from fellow Sky Bet Championship rivals Burnley - with the £250,000 recently won in the Sky Bet Transfer Fund going towards the signing.

The 31-year-old in-demand centre-back has joined Derby on a three-year contract, with the Rams paying an undisclosed fee to the Lancashire club for his signature.

The Rams won the £250,000 Transfer Fund prize when fan Richard Jones was selected in a random draw at Sky Studios earlier this month.

Jones, who also won a £5,000 prize for himself, said: “As a Derby County fan, I’m absolutely delighted I’ve played my part in helping to bring Jason Shackell to the club - and all just by placing a £1 bet.

“Hopefully he can help our push for promotion.”

Throughout the 2014/15 season, fans who bet with Football League Title Sponsor Sky Bet earned Transfer Fund tokens for every pound they spent, putting them in with a chance of winning the £250,000 Transfer Fund for their club.

26-year-old Jones, from Edinburgh, took his place in the final ten in a draw at the Sky Studios, before he was selected as the winner by Football League Commercial Director Ben Wright live on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday 10th July.

Shackell is no stranger to Derby, after spending an impressive single season with the club during the 2011/12 campaign.

He appeared on 49 occasions in all competitions and was a popular figure amongst supporters, before moving to Turf Moor in July 2012.

However, the Rams have continued their summer recruitment drive ahead of the 2015/16 season by bringing the Burnley captain back to the iPro Stadium.

He is the seventh player to join Derby this summer and follows Darren Bent, Alex Pearce, Scott Carson, Andreas Weimann, Chris Baird and Tom Ince joining the club since the beginning of June.

Head Coach Paul Clement said: “We’re thrilled that Jason Shackell has become our latest acquisition; he is an experienced defender at both Premier League and Championship level.

“I know that the Derby County fans will know all about his qualities already, following his previous spell at the club.

“We feel that we have made a number of exciting signings this summer and this one certainly falls into that category.

“We’re delighted that he has chosen to join us and I look forward to working with him.”

He added: “I’d like to thank Richard Jones for participating in the Sky Bet Transfer Fund and helping the club to sign Jason.”

Shackell said: “I’m delighted to sign for Derby County and I’m really excited about the prospect of working with Paul Clement, his coaching staff and the rest of the players.

“There’s a really strong squad here and I’m happy to be part of it.

“Derby have been at the top end of the division for the last few years and I believe that we can be up there again this season, hopefully making that final step and reaching the Premier League.

“The club has made massive progress in recent times and after hearing the vision and ambition of Mel Morris, Sam Rush and Paul Clement, I couldn’t wait to sign.”

He added: “I know just how big a club Derby is following my previous spell here a few years ago and I’m well aware of the fantastic support that we have.”

Sky Bet Head of Sponsorship Edwin Martin said: “For our winning fan, this signing must be a proud moment.

“Over 100,000 fans up and down the country have been taking part in the Transfer Fund, vying for a chance to help make a difference to their team ahead of next season and for Richard, this has become a reality.”

He was part of City's promotion-winning side to the Premier League in the 2003/04, and he went on to make 11 appearances in the top flight in the following campaign.

During the next two seasons, Shackell managed to establish himself as a regular in the City defence before sealing a £1 Million move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2008.

He returned to Norwich on loan and also spent time at Doncaster Rovers during his time in the West Midlands, before moving to Barnsley at the start of the 2010/11 campaign, where he secured their Player of the Season Award.

He joined Derby in the summer of 2011 and impressed at the heart of the defence during his single season with the club, appearing in every first team fixture and also wearing the captain’s armband.

During his three seasons with Burnley, Shackell made 136 appearances and, as captain, he was an influential figure in their promotion-winning 2013/14 season.

He featured in all 38 of their Premier League fixtures in the 2014/15 season, earning praise for his impressive performances against the very best talent in the English game.[/article]

He possesses great endurance, he’s fast, technically very strong and plays a good final ball. In spite of his age, he has managed to gather quite a bit of experience in professional football," explained VfL’s Director of Sport Klaus Allofs. VfL head-coach Dieter Hecking added: "Francisco is a young player with the potential to develop further. He fits perfectly into our requirement profile and can now take the next step with us."

The 23-year-old defender, who can play at the heart of the back four or in defensive midfield, makes the move from Peruvian first division outfit FBC Melgar Arequipa to VfL, having signed a three-year deal with the Wolves until June 30th, 2018. For the player himself, the move to Germany is a dream come true: "I am very happy and grateful that I will have the chance to play in Germany in the future and prove myself in one of the best leagues in the world. [article]Inter Milan have been told they've landed the 'new Ibrahimovic' in the form of Albanian superkid Rey Manaj.

It broke last week that Inter had beaten rivals Juventus and Atletico Madrid to the signing of Manaj from Cremonese.

The Nerazzuri have coughed up a bargain €1 million for Manaj, who has been likened to PSG superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic - not just in potential, but also attitude.

Albanian football expert Arlind Basholli, from the Gazeta Express said: "Manaj is a player who likes to play as a second striker, but easily can adapt to being a centre-forward. He is a speedy player, not selfish and has great shooting ability.

"Specialists who have watched his game have said that he has similarities to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, they also see him being a rebel player."

Basholli adds: "He is definitely one of the best youngsters Albanian football has."

Manaj's move to Inter surprised local fans, as the young forward had been in discussions with Juventus for some weeks.

Basholli continued: "His transfer to Inter was a surprise for us all, because he was very close to joining Juventus. However, he chose the best option for himself.

"It is a great thing for football in Albania, because we have a lot of Inter fans here.

"They are proud of Manaj with this achievement."[/article]
