Keni is right, football is best followed at a distance these days. The coverage is largely awful and the drama completely endless. It's best not to get mentally embroiled in all.

Hopefully, you come back or keep tabs on where SCM ends up, because you'll be a big loss to the community, and not just for your football knowledge.

Thanks to all for your incredibly kind words and as for everyone from here who recently followed me on Twitter - thanks, I guess, but if I’m ever likely to write something somewhat insightful about football again, it will probably be here or on some new iteration of SCM of the future. I basically use Twitter for reading and following news and like I said I already deleted all football-related content from my social media feeds.

Honestly it hurts trying not to care or even know about the Liverpool game happening on the day, but I’ll do my best to try to fill the void with something useful. Cheers!
