This season is such an absurd cluster fuck - If it wasn’t for the fact that hundreds of thousand are being maimed by a global pandemic we’d all be coughing up our pelvic bones laughing. So let’s get this straight. We have to play a CL game against a team that is supposed to be at home. However, because of the nightmare pandemic instead they have to find a neutral ground (probably Belgium - If that does happen and I read some shite in a paper along the lines of ‘Belgium - Good place for the Brits and Germans to settle their differences I’ll be very depressed.)

It would be unreasonable for Leipzig to forfeit as a result of their country's reasonable public health precautions. As much as we could use a gimme right now, let's hope a reasonable solution is found.

The other thing that made me laugh the other day was some article in Bild. Some Leipzig hack/loon was genuinely wondering if both teams could wears face masks in order to get the game played. That of course got ridiculed but it was still fun to read. Crazy days.

The ban presumably is for fear of the Liverpool squad, staff etc bringing any infections into Germany.
So rather than having our squad, staff etc flying into Germany for a few days, the authorities are happy to have the Leipzig squad travel to another country and potentially bring back any kind of infections both from that country AND the Liverpool squad anyway.

I've been waiting to see this. Interesting that both VvD and Gomez are named. So despite what Klopp/The Club are saying to the contrary they clearly believe there's a chance one or both could return before the end of the season.
If the CL rules are the same as the PL rules then yes.
