I have come round to wanting Barca.
A great team that is comming close to their sell by date, similar to Bayern.
There would definitely be goals but I would fancy our defense to concede less that theirs

That's exactly why I think Klopp has us playing this style this season. Well, that plus conserving energy to try to last the distance with citeh & their bigger squad.

We may not be as fluid in attack but we're doing enough to get past teams whilst looking mostly solid at the back. It's a more likely style to succeed against the biggest sides in Europe in big games.

I dont know about that, Barca can annihilate teams when they get on a role. Messi up against Moreno would be an act of cruelty. They arent as good as they were a few years ago but their front line is still arguably the best in the game.

Second best

The dream: We get Porto, city get United and they have to go toe to toe over two legs at the business end of the season.
The reality: We get City.

For those who plan ahead.

Tickets for the final in Madrid exclusively on sale on UEFA.com

Ticket sales for the 2019 UEFA Champions League final will start exclusively via UEFA.com on 14 March at 14:00CET and will run until 14:00CET on 21 March.

As usual, fans and the general public are being allocated the majority of the tickets for the final, which will be played at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain, on Saturday 1 June, kicking off at 21:00CET.

A total of 38,000 tickets out of 63,500 (the stadium’s capacity for the final) are available for fans and the general public to purchase. The two teams who reach the final will receive 17,000 each, while 4,000 tickets are being offered for sale to fans worldwide via UEFA.com. The remaining tickets are allocated to the local organising committee, UEFA and national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters, and to serve the corporate hospitality programme with new packages available here soon.

For the sales process on UEFA.com, tickets will not be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, a ballot will be conducted to allocate the tickets once the application period has ended.

The price categories available for the general public are: Category 4: €70; Category 3: €160; Category 2: €450; Category 1: €600; and 200 youth packages (400 tickets): €140 (two Category 2 tickets – one adult and one child under 14 – sold at discounted Category 4 rate). Accessibility tickets for disabled spectators are available for €70 (ticket priced at Category 4 rate and one companion ticket provided for free). Delivery costs are included in the prices of all tickets.

Applicants can apply for up to two tickets per person. The tickets will be personalised, and each applicant is required to provide their personal details on the ticket portal. They will be informed via email by 5 April 2019 at the latest as to whether their application has been successful or not. Applicants will also be able to check the status of their application on the ticket portal with their log-in information. Tickets will be delivered by courier by no later than mid-May.

4 English teams have made the qtrs this year, what's the big deal? No, the EPL is not going to dominate Europe. There will be year within the next 5 years no English team will make the qtrs
Praying Man City get Barca and Man Utd get Juve.

Milner will play LB. Or not so wee Joe if he’s fit enough.

Moreno will be house sitting for Sadio.

I would really prefer not to get either of the Manchester clubs as the circus surrounding it would potentially detract from out league games.
That is why I hope they are drawn together.

This is what I want.

Agreed - would love us to get any non English team and for City to get one of Spurs or United. I think both could take City out over two legs and it would be carnage in the press.

City are getting Porto for sure.

I have never seen any top team get such an easy run of cup draws as City have this season. In the domestic cup knockout stages they have faced the mighty Rotherham, Oxford United, Fulham, Burton Albion (in a fucking semi-final!), Fulham etc...........their only relatively tough game was Leicester (away) but even that was while Leicester were having a tough time. In the CL so far they have faced Lyon, Hoffenheim, Shaktar and Schalke!

We have not been able to take advantage of City being involved on 4 fronts because City have not been remotely stretched in any of these games (apart from Leicester taking them to extra time).

It's as simple as this; I predict that if we get Porto or Ajax and City get United we will win the league but if (as I suspect) City get Porto and we get the Scum then our league title ambitions will be scuppered.

Don't give a fuck. Whoever we get will be more afraid of us.

Be nice to see the Mancs drawn against each other though. Red cards, extra time, penalties. 🙂

Would love Spurs.... be ace spanking them and watching them fall apart after another so near yet so far season....

I keep thinking we should put in a cheeky bid for Kane in the summer.....

Quarters and Semis are drawn on the same day.

This could be a title defining draw as some big games for us (Chelsea) and City (Palace away, United away , Spurs, Burnley away) are in and around these CL fixtures.

City have had a favourable draw through out all competitions. And we've all been happy to an extent as we said it would stretch their sqaud. Well now is the time to cash in.

I genuinely think that Fridays draw is going to help decide the title race.

We need them to get a tough draw. An ideal scenario would be:

Liverpool Vs Porto.. Vs.. Spurs Vs Ajax.
City Vs Barca.. Vs.. Juve Vs United.

We get that draw or some form of it.. and I think we will be favourites again for the title.

Also it would be a bonus if United draw City in the semi finals of the FA cup too.

Surely City and their run of lucky draws in all competitions will be over. They've had their fair share of lucky draws in all competitions and I can only hope that it has been the case so they can progress to this point where their luck will run out in a spectacular way. Fingers crossed.

So confirmed the quarter finals of the Champions League has 3 English teams, and 1 each from Spain, Holland, Liverpool, Italy and Portugal!

What are the chances of an all-English quarter-final?

Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Gracenote
There are 105 possible scenarios for the Champions League draw - at 11:00 GMT on Friday - which will also determine the semi-final line-ups.
Nine out of those 105 scenarios involve the four English clubs all being drawn against each other - an 8.6% chance.
Out of the total possible draws, 72 scenarios have exactly one all-English tie - that's 68.6%.
Therefore, the chance of all four English clubs avoiding each other in the quarter final draw is 22.9%.
And the chances of an English winner?

Much more difficult to quantify before Friday's draw has taken place, but currently Gleave estimates "there is a 39%chance that an English team wins the Champions League".
Gracenote - using its own prediction model - puts Barcelona favourites (also 39% chance of winning), Juventus (20%), Manchester City (19%), Liverpool (9%), Manchester United (7%), Tottenham (4%), Porto (2%) and Ajax (1%).

Internet “leak” has this:

Liverpool vs Ajax
Juventus vs Porto
Manchester United vs Tottenham
Barcelona vs Manchester City
