I found it interesting that Wilnajdum was widely praised in this game. He was doing more or less the same as for the past 2-3 games. He was panned quite abit for those games.
Fucking brilliant that Reds! Men against boys 1st half....they were obviously going to have a go 2nd half and it was properly nervy for about 10 minutes after Costa scored but we seemed to calm the storm and looked more likely to get a third than they did to equalise. Early days but we look a proper team now.

I agree he wasn't among the MOM candidates, but there were more promising signs from him in this match than the others. He was more forward thinking, he moved into space in attacking areas well and was more influential higher up the pitch. There was also more fire in his belly.
He's a good player who will grow throughout the season.

Early days, don't get too carried away blah blah but I honestly think we look the second best side in this League.
It's really annoying City look so strong and they've Pep and all that...as it stands they're clear favourites for the Title no doubt about that. The only hope is shit hits the fan if/when they keep progressing in Europe and/or have a few injury problems to key players. We can only hope but there's a buzz around the Club again...and long may that continue.
