Isn't that a bit mad? I mean if we beat City and they beat us etc?

Meanwhile we're in to 6/4.

Chelsea are actually a great bet at that price, if we draw with City, or we win and they beat us, they're right back in it.

Yeah, that's a ridiculous price.

It's not just our fans that feel this momentum swing towards us, the motd poll had us favourites to win it even before we played yesterday too.

I think recent form is clouding everyone's impartiality, including, bizarrely, the bookies.

Maybe the pendulum's swung a bit too far in practice, but in principle I think it's fair enough that we've overtaken the Chavs in the betting.

7/1 in a three horse race is mad. I cannot believe the bookies are being this generous. If they weren't such utterly vile, contemptuous cunts it would almost be worth having a bet.

If that happens I would expect them to win it. Seems like the bookies, like the press, go with everything Mourinho says.

I was reading as article from some Guardian journo about how Mourinho had layed in to Benitez was such élan.... All I could remember was the huffy fucker moaning constantly about "ghost goals".

I feel like vomiting every time the English press report his every brain fart as the work if a genius.

I see the Italian press - well the Turin press - told him to do one after some of his senseless babbling about juventes recently - good on them.

I hope this doesn't come back to bite me, but I really don't see City taking the title this year. I think they are going to drop at least 7 more points in the run in.

It's us or Chelsea imo, so this seems a good bet even though it's likely to lose.

I think there's been a realisation after the defeats to Villa and Palace that Chelsea aren't actually very good. People go on about what if Suarez gets injured or City were to lose Yaya Toure for the run in but Chelsea are the real one-man team, if anything happened to Hazard they'd be fighting United for 7th.

I think Chelsea can still win the league and so I'm hoping they beat PSG in the Champions league because their participation in that tournament will take their focus away from the league.

Our match against them will also be in between their 2 semi final legs if they were to beat PSG and make it to semis. Imagine our game being a few days after AND ALSO few days before 2 legs against teams like Bayern/Real/Barca.

This title opportunity plays with your mind, you can't help thinking forward. I was cheering on Everton against Fulham on Sunday because, if the teams below Palace keep losing then they should be safe by the time we play them in the 2nd last game. It won't be an easy game but it will be a lot tougher if they still need points for survival. Added to that, the same day we play Palace City go to Everton; if Everton are still in with a shout of a top 4 place at this stage then City will be in for a battle however if Everton are marooned in 5th place how hard will they be trying to beat City (and by doing so help their arch enemies)?

This weekend, aside from Liverpool's game, I'll be cheering on Everton to beat Arsenal because we need Everton to stay motivated for their City encounter.

My mind is a whirl with 100 other potential scenarios that could help us towards the ultimate prize.

I'm with you.

Pretty much this. I think Willian is also a crafty player who is difficult to play against, but they mainly still feed off Hazard. Hopefully teams will have learned a lesson or two from watching how Palace kept Chelsea out. The longer Chelsea go without a goal, the more desperate they'll get and that's when their defences will finally open up, ala the Palace game.

Might be odd but I think Stoke and Sunderland could surprise Chelsea. I know they play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea have dropped only 4 points this season, but they'll be encouraged by the fact that those points were dropped against the likes of West Brom and West Ham.

Good call.

Swansea away is not going to be easy for them either.

Swansea plays an attacking game and that will play into Chelsea's hands though. With Chelsea's lack of creativity, clubs which park the bus will get a chance to stifle them and then try to hit them with a sucker punch. An open game helps Chelsea, as they can then rely less on creative passing / movement but pace on the counter through the likes of Hazard, Willian and Schurrle. Hence why I'm not too sure Swansea will dent their hopes, even if it's an away game for Chelsea.

Would love to be proven wrong though. I think Michu's available again, so that might help some.
