Champions League Semi's, second legs

I hope the media don't go on about Torres' goal. Despite the pressure of the moment, it was training ground stuff in terms of the technical difficulty and it wasn't even the winner, it was just an injury time confirmation. Before he scored he'd been vastly inferior to Drogba in a defensive role and picking up Alves properly too.

What do you expect them to do in all honesty ?

£50m repaid will be mentioned loads of times tomorrow. I still think he looks like he's done

Painful to say it but what a performance from chelsea......... drogba, cole, ramieres and lampard were ace

Beating one of the greatest teams of last 50 years over 2 legs, with a team most most had written off at xmas

This makes me year for Rafa's great European nights, we seem a million miles from there........

I expect them to do exactly what I said I hope they don't. Well, mostly; some of the enlightened ones will make his goal into the confirmation footnote that it was.

Chelsea were fantastic defensively for 180 minutes, but Barca only have themselves to blame for not winning this tie.

It kinda reminds me of how we beat them in 2005 - they were the better team for most of the tie, but we did what had to be done.

As I said before the tie started, I can see them winning this.

I'm curious to see how Messi responds to this ... His play over the last 3 games has been average by his standards ... and let's see if this is the kick Pep needs to stay at Barca and go after Mourinho (unless JM runs away from another job).

I don't get how people like JM ...

Just to confirm, for the final, Chelsea will be without Terry, Ramires, Meireles and Ivanovic through suspension.

Knucks

How sublime was Ramires' finish? Perfect.

Drogba was an absolute monster all night too, fantastic player still, they'll miss him if he does go this summer.

Torres has repaid a vast amount of his fee with that goal. It's not every day you get the decisive goal in a CL semi final that will earn your club some big bucks (or does it?, look at us we've been in it twice recently and we nearly went skint!) from prize and TV money.

I think what annoys me about Mourinho is that he's such a cornball. He's about as charming as that X Factor dickhead Chico. My mate once told me about a clip he'd seen on SSN of him doing one of his oh-so-audacious press conferences where he named the opposition team and then in a fabulous display of granstanding, got up and walked out, to leave us all awestruck at his impudence. Only, he chose a locked door, struggled with it, then had to walk back across the room to another exit. I'd have given anything to see that.

Basically, he's a tosser. I really despair for the sort of fucking bimbo who swoons at that sort of behaviour like some kind of giggling schoolgirl.

barca are a rich man's liverpool

lots of possession.
lots of chances.
profligate in front of goal.
missed penalties.
hitting the post and crossbar, a lot.
conceeding with every attack.

and no plan B.

If Chelsea win the Champions League and Newcastle finish 4th I think I might die from laughter.
