That is ridiculous.

Replace 3 of the back four & drop a key creative midfielder - just as everyone's getting some form.

Keep the same team that started against Spurs - put the game to bed early and sub off key players early in the second half is the only way to go.

Agreed. Can you imagine the comments if this happens and we lose?!

Haha

Cardiff's last line up:

-------------------------------------------------David Marshall

Theopile Catherine-----Steven Caulker--------------Ben Turner----Andrew Taylor

Craig Noone---------------Jordon Mutch--------------Gary Medel----------Peter Whittingham

-------------------------------Fraizer Campbell-------------Peter Odemwingie

Been reading about the game on a Cardiff forum just to get a feel of how they might approach this game.

First off, I'm not sure that they'll come to Anfield and play a 4-4-2 line up.

Gary Medel will be man marking Suarez most likely.

Their dangerman in midfield is Peter Whittingham, 2 goals and 3 assists this season.

Craig Noone, Liverpool' fan and Gerrard's former roofer will most likely be up for it.

They've got two agile and speedy attackers in Campbell and Odemwingie, we've got to mind their counter attacks.

Cardiff are difficult to score against, apparently.

Looking at whoscored.com their top performers this season are three defenders.

It will be a tough game, but if we want top 4 we have to win games like this.
Same team as against Spurs excites me. Hopefully we'll get a good performance and a win.

The Cardiff players know Malky is off either before or after the game, if we score the first goal I wouldnt be surprised to see them implode a bit.
Marshall will probably be MOTM...

Just how do you stop Liverpool FC star Luis Suarez? Cardiff City legends have their say

That will be the task facing the current Bluebirds back-line as they look to stop the in-form Liverpool marksman

He’s running amok in the Premier League right now, so just how can Cardiff City stop Luis Suarez?
We asked three of the best ever Bluebirds defenders to attempt what so many have found impossible - come up with a plan to deal with the prolific Uruguayan

“If I were the Cardiff City manager right now I would put Gary Medel on Suarez and order him to stick with him all game.
Medel has been excellent so far for the Bluebirds this season and I can’t really think of a better man to try to make sure Suarez does not have an influence on the game.
I remember back when I was playing we came up against QPR when they had Rodney Marsh in his prime, just a brilliant player.
The manager Jimmy Scoular told our right back, Dave Carver, to go man-to-man on Marsh. He told him, ‘If he goes to the toilet, you go with him’.
He told him if Dave didn’t have a kick all game that was fine as long as Marsh didn’t have a kick either.
Many might think it’s an old fashioned way of going about things, but if you’ve got the right man doing the job it can be very effective.
That said, I think the Bluebirds defence has done an excellent job so far this season and aren’t going to be afraid of the opposition however high a standard they are.
As a left-back myself I have been very impressed by Andr3ww Taylor. His defending is ni9ce and simple and clean and if he does get the chance to get forward he does so.
It’s going to be a tough trip to Anfield, we all know that Luis Suarez or no Luis Suarez, but I reckon like they have all season Cardiff will go and give a good account of themselves whatever the result.”
DON MURRAY
Centre-half
406 league appearances for City between 1962 and 1975

“Suarez is a lad on top of his game and proves week in and week out that he’s more than capable of pulling off something world class, something totally unexpected.
But for me, as a defender, you go out and concentrate on your game and don’t worry too much about who you are facing.
You can’t go out on the pitch with any fear, you must have faith in your own abilities and that the vital factor in dealing with a player like Suarez.
I realise he is a great player, but you will find a way to counteract that. As a professional you want to go out and challenge yourself against the best in the game. That was what getting to the Premier League was all about for the Bluebirds.
When I was playing it is really playing against the big players in the big games that stick in your mind.
It was great to play against people Malcolm MacDonald, Duncan McKenzie and Franks Worthington. It was brilliant to play against the likes Real Madrid and Hamburg.
But I wasn’t there as a spectator or to get star-struck I was there to do a job against them and that is how the Bluebirds defenders will feel at Anfield.
They have been superb all season. Of course there will be discussions between them about how to deal with Suarez as there would be when it comes to any dangerous opponents.
But the most important thing is that they go out there and play their usual game. That they go out and are not overawed and when you look at the way Cardiff have been playing so far this season I don’t think there is any chance of that.”
JASON PERRY
Centre-half
281 league appearances for City between 1987 and 1997

“It is very difficult as a player not to read about someone like Suarez in the papers and not take all the plaudits in.
But as he has done all season I think Malky Mackay will be taking the practical approach to dealing with Suarez.
The Uruguayan is not your typical centre-forward at all and one of his biggest weapons is his ability to find space.
He is always keen to exploit any space left between the midfield and the back-four and the Bluebirds will have to be very wary of this.
It’s not about the solids, about the marking of the men, it’s about covering the space that they might seek to exploit.
It is going to be a collaborative effort between the back four and Gary Medel who just likes to sit in front there. Particularly at centre-half, a big part of the job is just communicating with your teammates.
The Bluebirds are going to have to act like baby-sitters when it comes to Suarez. Once one has the responsibility to take care of him he is going to have to know the best time to let one of his teammates take over. You cannot have Cardiff dragged out of shape worrying about Suarez because Liverpool have got plenty of other quality players who are going to take advantage of that.
It’s going to be tough. The big thing with a player like Suarez is that he will wear a centre-half down physically and mentally and if you let your concentration go just one, even for a second then the ball will end up in the back of the net.
But it’s the kind of job you want as a centre-half, the battle you look forward too. When you think of Steven Caulker, a man with real aspirations to play for England, then dealing with someone like Suarez is just the perfect chance to show what you are capable of.”

The Liverpool team in full : Mignolet, Johnson, Flanagan, Skrtel, Sakho, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Suarez.
Subs: Jones, Toure, Agger, Alberto, Aspas, Moses, Kelly.

Seriously fuck this jinx crap. We'll win today, convincingly as well.
Where are all these doubts coming from?
We're at Anfield for fucks sake!!!!

I like that BT sport show a lot more pre match but they should stay away from the players, talking about Cardiffs chance 3 feet away from them is pretty inappropriate regardless of what is said.
