Liverpool have sold Rafa Camacho to Sporting Lisbon for a fee worth around £5million.
Camacho was entering the final year of his contract at Anfield and was unwilling to sign fresh terms after viewing his first-team chances as remote.
The £5m Liverpool will receive from the Portuguese side will rise to £7m with add-ons, with the Reds also inserting a 20 per cent sell-on clause for the talented teenager.
The ECHO understands Camacho refused to sign a new contract after initially agreeing to one under the condition he would be loaned out back to his homeland.
Liverpool would rather have kept the starlet and loaned him out but the Reds believe the current deal represents smart business due to the fact he would have been able to pen a pre-contract agreement in January and leave on a free the following summer.

Camacho rejected the chance to speak to Wolves, AC Milan and Schalke, fearing his opportunities would again be limited in the first team.

Can't believe there is a way back for Clyne and Hoever is still a little young. However, I think we may go with TAA/Gomez/Hoever as our combined RB options next season.

I'm sound with that as it stands

The boy desperately wants to play. I really think this move could be good for him.
