Or could it be that we put pressure on Soton by leaking a Trippier story. Wasnt it said last week that Clyne wanted the move to Anfield.
If we've bid 10 mill and want this lad we'll surely pay a few mill more.

He's much better than Trippier imho.

Mark is getting so fucking irritating these days he's even managed to make Silver Sean seem appealing.

I wouldn't go that far!

Anyway, he's asked me to put him on ignore, because I don't get his Jack Dee, deadpan humour, or something.

Mark doesn't bother me at all really. He's fighting the good fight. He's also realistic in his views. People perceive him as a happy clapper, Liverpool can do no wrong super fan. He isn't. He just has a positive outlook and unwilling to stick the knife unnecessarily into our club.

Perhaps let the odd one slide though Mark. You don't have to pull up people for every dig they make at the club. You will drive yourself and others mental.

He's not a bad player, and decent record of assists

This thread screams for a @Pesam opinion
I§m in Cyech Republic again visiting the in=laws hence the weird szmbols-spelling as I§m using a cyech kezboard and can§t be bothered correcting all the errors.

Last season I mentioned that Ings, Trippier and Shackell were the onlz š plazers burnlez had who were good enough for the EPL. Mz feeling was that Ings would prove good enough for a top 4 team but not sure about the other 2.

The problem is that I don§t watch a lot of non=LFC EPL footie and so haven§t seen enough of Trippier to evaluate his EPL performances. At least with Ings he has featured quite prominentlz on highlight pacakges that still makes me believe he§ll be a hit for us.

Re" Trippier mz gut feeling is he isn§t gonna be good enough for us but I could easilz be wrong on this one.

Hey join the club! I'm on Silver Seans ignore list. Brilliant! Feels like a badge of honour! After all he is an ignorant, shouty, and frankly stupid bellend.

Thinking about it - I wonder if he can read this???? Oh well..... 😎

I feel like I've been sent back in time to the height of the cold war and Pesam is a spy we have in the Eastern bloc.

Trippier vs Chelsea. Showed pretty sensible defensive play in this game, other than on one occasion when he tried to be a bit too clever in the second half and got caught out. Decent corner kicks.

I wouldn't be opposed. Even if it's for depth. We're hardly stocked at full back

Looked very good in the Chelsea clip. Comfortable on the ball, sees the right pass, and a better delivery then GlenJo or any of our current wingers. Clyne has more experience, but not sure he is worth the extra money. Would rather save the money for other positions. Or we sign both and convert one of them to the left for some depth?

Interesting (maybe) bit of trivia here - Burnley went down with a goals scored:conceded record of 28:53, while Hull were relegated with a 33:51 record. The goals conceded for both these teams are the lowest among all teams relegated from the Premier League since 2005/2006. That season, Birmingham went down with a 28:50 record. After that, you have to go back to 1998/1999 when Blackburn went down with a 38:52 record to find another team that let in fewer goals than Burnley. Teams relegated from the league usually concede upwards of 60 or even 70 goals over the season.

So scoring goals was obviously the problem for Burnley then?

Hey, here's an idea... Let's sign their main striker.

I guess the flip side is that they were pretty well set up defensively for a relegation side, due to putting men behind the ball and hoping to nick wins, so potentially in a more creative side, with more support and more license to get forward, he could get more goals.
