Good performanece on a difficult pitch and against a Championship side threating it as a cup final.
Skrtel, Toure, Hendo, Moses and Studge were very good. Suarez was a bit off but had 2 assists.

The defence wasnt all bad throughout the game but the gap between midfield and defence was shocking.
Need a dm badly.

I left the room for like, two minutes, did I miss Rodgers interview? What did he say?

... we have a thin squad, uncomfortable first half, we'll be ready for Everton, credit to Bournemouth for playing football and making it hard for us, the last few games have taken me back to a year ago when I took over which we may have lost but did not. In a nutshell.

Anyone else noticed that Skrtel seemed to be hobbling a bit towards the end of the game? Looked like he had some foot or ankle problem.

... not according to Rodgers. It was a rather bad pitch, though, so I shouldn't be surprised.

I don't get how teams like Soton, Everton etc can rotate in some squad players and we basically play a full strength team ...

Ta for that.

Today, yet again reinforced the need for a good DM. But nobody worry cos we might, might sign this Egyptian fella who....isn't a DM. This lot made us look ordinary. A lower division side without a win in weeks, made us look very ordinary in the first half.

Henderson and Gerrard were chasing shadows in that first half and of course it's a good result but, I'm just a bit frustrated that we don't seem to be in the market for the position we so need.

Indeed, isn't the question why?

Is it me or has Alberto look like he has bulked up?

He has. There are articles you can read on the internet where he's talking about that directly, imprving his physique to cope with the speed and power of the PL.

Do you have any links mate? It's a good sign ... The talent is there.

You do get it but probably manage to force it out of your mind at times because it's painful to constantly remember that we've bought/loaned an absolute load of shite players that now fill our squad.

Ah come on - we could haven't started Dan Smith at LB? He's as good there as ShiteLB (Sorry Rubans). We could have given Henderson's minutes to Rossiter - he can manage at this level despite his age. It just seems - unlike other teams - we're a bit scared to give our kids a run out ... Maybe the FA CUp is our only way into Europe.

Talking of bulking up, I was today wondering if Suarez has done the same but taken it too far and it's now slowing him down a bit whereas before it had given him such a fantastic start to the season. I say this because, as FFF has been saying for ages, he looks tired and a bit sluggish but also, when he scored against Stoke he celebrated by doing some sort of 'Incredible Hulk' arm flex pose and I immediately thought he looked a lot stronger than in the past. I dismissed it as something I was just imagining but I wonder, has any else been thinking this?

I was more gob smacked when he missed that lob today. Shocker

We've needed to sign a good CM for about 5 years now. Why should anything change now?

It would probably require Rodgers to play Gerrard in a different position, which he seems unwilling to do.

I'm sad to say if we don't strengthen, Lee Dixon and co are right ... we will struggle to finish top 4.

We need Sakho to get fit ... He's our best defender.

Better fringe players whom the managers seem to believe in, I'm beginning to think. Rodgers doesn't seem to trust his.
