Not sure where I read it, but it has been mentioned that back in Brazil there is more adulation towards Coutinho compared to Bobby due to the latter embarking to European soil at a younger age and honing his trade at Hoffenheim before moving here. Granted, he may not be as skillfully blessed as Coutinho, he makes up alot of it with his grit and dedication, making him a Klopp favourite and probably our closest resemblance to Thomas Muller (who is publicly known to be frustrated at how Ancelloti is using him at Bayern) in the way he occupying crucial space when we're in attack. With Lucas gone, here's hoping that our least Brazilian Brazilian player will be a revelation for seasons to come.

Hope he gets on with the rest of the lads. In a flash Lucas and possibly Coutinho will be gone. Let's hope Moreno can keep him happy.

I have not taken to him at all. Having watched shit from Brazil for years all i can say is that he more often performs like the Lucas equivalent of a striker. The sad thing for me is that Coutinhio has become the player you would expect Brazil to produce upto 2005 - the super silky shit we all think about. These days Brazil seem to produce these Bobby types and i actually think back when we bought him we overpaid by 6-8M. I actually dont know what type of player he is ... yes he is the front link man but dont hold your breath on the belief he is a match winner for us. REALITY CHECK POST BY MORON.

After a slow start to the season, he's been outstanding in his last two games. Very impressive indeed.

It was also nice to see him get his first goal from open play in the league so early in the season, after only three games.
His league tally being something everyone knows he needs to improve.

I hope he keeps it up, but having two extraordinarily quick attacking players either side of him seems to have helped a lot, and it's also useful when Mane and Salah have each score two league goals already.

The attack looks strong, but it's still very early.

I suppose those match winning goals he scored in a few games (Stoke and West Brom come to mind) don't count for anything.

The truth is hard to stomach for many on here. He is not really wanted by other big clubs and also is not gonna be in the starting lineup for Brazil.

Get off it, Ahmed. Who gives a flying feck about any of that? "The truth is" that he's an integral reason why our attack is functioning so well.

Just to make clear, what 'truth' exactly is it that you are referring to?

The only thing I felt in my stomach watching Bobby's splendid display in the weekend was an enormous appetite for trophies.. THIS IS THE YEAR, THE YEAR OF THE BOBBY!!

When he does his vanishing acts in a few games time which I reckon he will do ... you will come back and say ... Moron you know em too well. However i am more than happy to be proved wrong and you guys tell me to 'get fucked you know.. fuck all'.

How does it feel to basically have the same opinion about a player as Moron?

A nice back handed compliment disguised into your post here. 😉

Unlike @manwithnoname - I know it is wrong for me to feel the way I do about Bobby because he always tries hard for the team - but I have never accepted the fee we had to pay for him, I was expecting a lot more, and he frustrates the fuck out of me watching him sometimes. Perhaps because I expected him to come in and eventually take over and be like Suarez. Just don't like him - coz he is not my sort of player.

I'm not being dismissive here but I don't understand why you don't like him as a player. Yeah, he isn't Suarez but not many are. He works hard, he's can pull of sublime tricks and passes. He scores (not enough at times) and assists.

Well, that's fair enough moron

Dunno - I am a romantic - when I hear we have a Brazillian in the team I want to believe we have a magical player that can pull us out of stuff and turn a game on its head with a blink of an eye. He just reminds me of all that is bad about Brazillian football right now in terms of the quality of their players. I find him inconsistent - and to be honest when our team does badly in a game it's because he has been ineffective up front for most of the game. He occupies a key position - at the moment he is doing the business but I just know when the busses come - he won't produce.

I've never been his biggest fan, but I've been impressed this year. He looks much sharper and seems to have improved as a player individually and improved as a core component in Klopps system. Definitely been won over now and I love watching this attack play for now. There's still doubts whether he poses enough threat when teams park the bus

Do we *reeeeally* have to wait?
