Birmingham vs Liverpool Match Thread

I've seen enough in the 10 minutes or so he was on...

Miereles offered more to us in that few minutes than Lucas ever has or Poulsen ever will.

Fucking dismal.

No momentum, no guile in midfield, shaky in defence and 0-0 was what Granddad played for

Cunt 1 and Cunt 2 were a joke in midfield, Magic looks like he's had a lobotomy, and Torres had a cob on all day.

Reina, Gerrard and Konch did well and tried.

The rest were poor to average

Can someone, anyone please explain to me why Meireless didn't start?

We're gonna get done over next weekend

Fuck it i go on holiday saturday and i'll be getting lashed up sunday watching us v scum... :'(

Pluses.
Miereles looks very tasty from just a few minutes cameo.
Cole comes back next week.
Konchesky made an excellent debut and it now an automatic starter.
We looked much better in the 2nd half once Gerrard started dropping deeper ... and a point at Birmingham is not bad.

I fucking hate Hodgson. He says the right things in interviews but on match day he is totally inept. Why the fuck doesn't he make any changes?

Everyone has drawn here, They have not lost a home match in over a year, Arsnl Manu Cheals didn't evn win here last year.

We were very pedestrian at times. And Lucas was anonymous especially in the second half - did he get a touch at all before he was taken off?

Either Meireles isn't fully match fit yet, or Roy thought a draw would be a good result.

We need to find some balls by next weekend, and I don't mean Jabulanies.

To look at the glass half full, Birmingham's home form read - 8 wins, 9 draws and just 2 defeats. Were we really expecting a victory? I would've settled for a draw, albeit with a better team performance.

Pretty much agree. Although I think Gerrard was piss-poor for large periods too.

There's very little hope to be had.

But you have to have hope in your heart...

Seriously Torres can actually piss off with that
attitude

We get it.

Did Foster even get his kit dirty?

Poulsen (can he even move?) and Lucas will kill us this year. Jova is not much better (his weight of pass is shockingly poor) and Maxi just completes an average midfield.

There's simply NO creativity, skill, control or balance there. Not to mention the chronic lack pace, power or movement. And we're going to suffer badly this year because of it.

the difference being that the headlines the next day said "Brum lucky to get a point against (insert Arse, ManU, Chels)", tommorrow they will say "Brum drops points against Liverpool"

keep it tight for 45 minutes, come out second half with 'slightly' more tempo hoping to sneak a win.
no subs for at 65 mins.

what exactly is the difference from rafa?

Draw is an ok result but we were awful, Reina saved us from a drubbing and Roy was a disaster.

last time i saw a liverpool manager that was as shit as this and should never have got the job was souness.

hodgson is shit, he needs to take a long hard look at himself in the mirror and then resign.

no bother i suppose lucas is on his way round to hodgson's with the viagra right now to take up his new sucking duties.

I thought we'd nick it, because IF we're on form we're better than they are, and I didn't expect us to have flushed our fighting spirit down the toilet before the game.
