It's too early to judge what our biggest mistakes have been.

Obviously, giving Budgie the job was a fucking disastrous decision, made by people who didn't really understand the club, or indeed football.

Budgie's subsequent transfers have been er, hit and miss.

But other than that, who can say? I'm not convinced that the failed scout is a good choice as a scout, never mind suddenly becoming the most powerful football person at the club, or 'Director Of Football Strategy' as it is also known.

I don't like Steve Clarke, but he seems to have the respect of people I respect, so that's fine.

I do know that we need a lot of players to be moved out, and quality brought in.

I suppose the biggest issue has been the loss of world-class players, with the monies banked for those transfers not all being reinvested, and rubbish players expected to come in and replace them.
