Not kicking the ball out for a fucking throw-in and letting it run out for a corner when you thought it was going to be a goal kick which lead to the opposition scoring from the corner further leading to the arses falling out of the whole team and started them behaving like a streak of mad womans piss culminating in a second goal when in the first half you had the blueshite on toast.................gasps for breath. not the first time the busy body has done that either. remember the game where kuyt makes this lung bursting run to keep a ball in play making a sliding challenge to stop the ball going out, only for the opposition player to say thanks for keeping the ball in (while kuyt is now off the pitch) run up to our goal and then pick someone out for a tap in.

The litmus test on how we will hopefully progress should be when Kuyt and Lucas are on the bench and no where near automatic first choices

we need a partner to play off Torres like Gerrard did in the 08/09 season, someone like VDV

how about just play gerrard there?
each to their own but I would try to inject pace into the midfield and move gerrard further forwards, if and when we purchase striker who is a better partner for torres then fine move gerrard back into midfied. the bottom line though is I would go out of my way to secure to genuine wide players to provide width, directness and pace into the side. whehter kuyt drops to the bench or is moved on is all the same to me.

The problem with playing Gerrard there is, he drops deep to get the ball, because the reason it worked in the 08/09 season was because Gerarrd could stay close to Torres because he was getting the ball played to him by Alonso and Masher, where as now he's got Lucas and Meireles to get it off who aren't a patch on Alonso and Masher
