Yup.
He looked rusty today after two games out but he absolutely helps the team. He frees up Suarez. Thats half the battle.

Coincidence mincidence. If we win everytime he starts he has to be first name on the sheet.
 
I thought he did well at times, some of the interplay, moreso in the first half, was really good, but you can see the problems when he's isolated upfront on his own, he's got to come back and wait for support. Looked good though when we got players around him and gave him support.

I'm just hoping there is some sort of legal redress and Newcastle have to take him back, not fit for purpose or some shite like that.

We got him from almost half the prize of a worn-out-don't-want-to-play-good-anymore Torres.

It's all the goals we score when he's playing.
 
I thought he did pretty well tonight.
Probably has something to do with the fact that we weren't constantly hoofing it at his head.

If all we'd wanted was a tall target man to free Suarez up, then we could have kept N'Gog and saved ourselves 35M.

Tow things bothered me tonight re AC (and I'm loathe to do this cos he was ok, and I do desperately want him to do well):

1 - That moment where the camera panned to him and he was bollocking the defence for not knocking the ball long. That summed it up for me.
2 - Suarez's goals. Big Dunc's just not going to win matches for us like that, which is what you should expect from a 35M striker.

Still, ignore my moaning - he did alright tonight.

is he? suarez ran riot last night, and he ran riot against norwich without him.
 
I liked the look of Carroll last night, he deserves a run in the team, 3 or 4 games in partnership with Suarez will give him a chance he deserves. He really should have start against Norwich, but should definitely start against West Brom and the game after. I think Suarez playing off Carroll look'd fantastic, even if Carroll wasn't setting the world alight (and he was decent last night tbh) defenders keep an eye on him, which means they keep less eyes on Suarez. The second goal shows this, I'm sure when that ball came in they were thinking where the fuck is Andy and it made it easier for Suarez to just spin away.
