He may well grow out of that. There are loads of kids that struggle with injury and then become less susceptible when they're all grown up. Let's hope he's one of those, because the boy's got potential.

He needs to, because Connor Randall is just a year younger and looks just as promising.

For those not familiar with Randall, here's a highlight clip of his appearance against Shamrock Rovers:

I've always considered McLaughlin as one of our biggest talents in the reserves, but those recurring injuries have held him back.
He needs a full injury free season. Another loan move will do him some good.

Thanks for that video. He certainly does look a talent (didn't show much of his defensive side though). Superb link-up play with Dunn for that 4th goal.

The problem with another loan, I guess, is that our own sports science people won't be able to look at him and see what's the underlying problem with his injuries, and that the lower league team he goes to may not have the setup (or prioritization) to look after that aspect. So, there might be a good argument for him to remain with the team for half a season or so just so our guys can really work out what's wrong with him.

Yeah, unfortunately Shamrock didn't really attack down that side much if I remember correctly. Have seen him play for our U18s and U21s though, and he's usually done whenever I've seen him. Good pace and crossing ability, strong and defensively sound, if my memory serves me right.

Oh, and shameless plug for Dunn - that's what he does. Give him a chance and he'll shoot hard instead of dragging his feet waiting for the perfect opening.

Yeah...worked for Flanagan.
You've got a point

#LFC are set to miss out on Swansea’s Ben Davies after being unable to agree a fee for the Welsh left-back. [James Pearce, Echo]

Is this because we fucked them around with Bony then?

Or because we just value him as highly as they did. We do have Jack Robinson as well, if you remember, and that must be a factor in our thinking (at least I hope so because there is a myth that other teams' sprogs are better than ours.)
