Yeah I get it, he's scum, a racist, a twat, a cunt and an Everton supporter but he's quite funny though.

Here are some of his recent tweets:

SAS movement causing Vidic/Jones/Evra allsorts of problems. Rafael has ironed out Stevie G there. Getting spicy this...

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Red card surely. At least another yellow.

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Suits Liverpool now. Man U have to go for game, LFC very good on the counter. Set up for a great 2nd half.

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Another top pen. United in turmoil.

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Plays for it but Vidic doesn't get the ball? Will he go the same way 3 times..?

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Down the middle lad!

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
That's where he should have gone. Dink down the middle.

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Fergie there. If looks could kill?

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Worst Man United side in Premier League history. Fergie left Moyes an unenviable task. Credit to Liverpool. Battered them really.

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Haha what a sign...

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Mourinho = The Special One
Rodgers = The Chosen One
Wenger = The Longest Serving One
Moyes = The Having One

Loads of United fans giving me stick here. Button it nuggets. Can't call yourself fans when I've been to Old Trafford more than you...

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Don't worry you can support someone else next season. Plastic, glory hunting, psuedo-supporters...

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Just take it. Other teams can now match your financial might. They have resources equal to yours. Your decade of dominance is over.

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton Mar 16
Stop moaning and get behind your team. Real football fans stick with their club. If you ask nicely maybe I will come play for you?

Just seen @IngsDanny has won Championship player of the Year. Well deserved.

Two other Liverpool lads win League 1 and 2 awards. Well done lads @aforshaw and @Robinho2288 #topplayers

Might as well give @luis16suarez his Player of the Year awards now and be done with it. He should win everything. Been phenomenal this year.

Its looking impossible to deny Luis and Daniel getting player and young player at this rate isn't it?

If Suarez and Sturridge win the awards but we don't end up champions, you can expect Mourinho to repeat his pseudo-intelligent rubbish about how the winning player should be from the league champions, etc.

Of course, the thick c*nt doesn't realize that votes are submitted before the champions are decided, but there you go.

Nah hazard will get young player

He's 23 yrs old, I'm sure that must be too old for YPotY no ? Sturridge is 24 yrs old so he's not in with a shot either. Sterling must be in with a major shout for YPotY with only maybe Januzaj as competition.

23 at the start of the season is the cut off. Sturridge & hazard are both eligible.

Come to think of it - that makes Henderson a legit contender as well (22 at the beginning of the season). If I had a vote, I'd give it to Henderson ahead of the other two.

For what it's worth, past 5 PFA YPOTY winners are British players: Bale, Walker, Wilshere, Milner, Young. In fact, since the 2000-2001 season when Gerrard won the award, only 2 non-British youngsters have won it - Fabregas and Ronaldo. Bellamy and Bale are the 2 Welshman who have won it, while the rest of the time, the award has gone to an England player.

On a related note (somewhat):

England Under-21s and Burnley striker Danny Ings’s remarkable rise to prominence was last night recognised at the 2014 Football League Awards.

The 21-year-old was rewarded for his 25-goal haul so far this term by being named the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year, while Young Lions team-mate Will Hughes won the Football League Young Player award.
