Tony Barrett has resigned from The Times due to their (lack of) front page coverage of the Hillsborough inquests apparently

There's not really room for anyone at The Times, in the footie section, other than Henry Winter, whose ego is now so large it could even be seen from space by that irritating Tim bloke.

Been a while though hadn't it. I suppose he had been waiting to have something else lined up rather than storming off. Still, fair play. It was a shocking PR move from the Times

Fair play to him. I think he's had a few agendas while writing about Liverpool in the past and he fabricates the truth to see fit, but he's done the right thing morally and has put the club before his career. Anyone who does that deserves huge respect.

On a quasi-related note, what about this joyful headline from that rag yesterday?

How on Earth could you work for a publication that comes out with stuff like that?

No matter how much you polish a turd its still a turd and that expression sums up the fucking Sun newspaper utter wankers :rage:

Imagine being in the same building as Kelvin MacKenzie and not caving his head in with a paperweight.

The really sad thing is that it's an indictment of the mentality (or lack of) in society today. That people still lap it up and buy this shit.

Bring on Planet of the Apes.

About time Danny Murphy did the same. He's already got a regular gig at the BBC, so it's not as if he's desperate for the job.
