They just showed him throwing it out onto the pitch on Sky Sports News.

That lad is going to get some grief for this. The poor lad looked sick at half time in the clip they showed.

I think shouldn't blame him.

should blame the ref.

should stop the match and get the ball out.

Since when does a ref stop a game for a balloon/beach ball going on the pitch? Ridiculous statement ong. the kid is a fucking idiot, why would you want to hit it onto the pitch? Twat.

Find the little shit and ban the cunt from all games, I'm fucking seething....

I don't think that ball is similar to the normal balloon.

This is a bigger ball and not easy to explode.
It's like two balls on the pitch.

so your going to blame the boy because the team couldnt carve out a decent chance until the 93rd minute

harsh really.

Poor kid is gonna get hammered over this. However, what the hell was he doing with it there in the first place.

There was a match a couple of years ago - at Man City? - when the keeper claimed he'd been distracted by balloons in the goal mouth. But bringing one with you to a match is really silly.

Since it's an object interfering with play, which it clearly was. So, always. The kid is still a total tit though, but the ref is as much at fault.

It's got nothing to do with us not scoring, the fact is we would not have lost if he hadn't of done that. Where did he actually punch it? Right in front of Reina? Fucking idiot.

The ball wouldn't change direction hitting a normal balloon. From the impact it made, it looked like there was a second football out there.

As I said to mate when it happened, that could only happen to us...

pepe reina had a chance to bust the balloon before the attack he chose to ignore it big mistake

Of course Reina should have dealt with it but likewise he I doubt he'd expect his own fans to throw something in front of him.

he had the chance to deal with it he chose not to whether our fan or theirs makes no difference

How old was the kid who knocked it onto the pitch?
[/quote]
He was like 10 years old. Blaming a kid who brings a balloon to a match is ludicrous.
We were shite and must forget this match and focus on the next one.

I'm not blaming him for the defeat as a whole, just for the goal. I'm not sure if the ref would have been able to tell that it wasnt just a balloon. I don't think it would be possible for Reina to burst the ball without being completely certain of not injuring himself in doing so (they are reasonably strong items).

While I don't get this taking balls, balloons, horns etc to football matches, lynching and asking for a ban for a 10 year old kid for throwing a ball onto the pitch is a bit OTT.

I agree that wishing him pain and banning him from games is OTT. I bet it will take a while until his mates let him forget it though!

I expect it'll be water of a duck's back given he's a ginge.

I think it sets a precedent.

Supporters will start lobbing all sorts to distract players.

Goal should have been disallowed.

The kid should be denied whatever Xmas presents he was due.

Little prat.
