I partly disagree mate. Whereas it gives cover for Torres it's simply cover that's not of the right quality. Same goes for the LB Konchesky if we even do sign him. Never mind signing the likes of these players from mediocre mid table sides we're fast becoming one if we continue.

Cole and Konchesky are both an improvement over Insua and N'gog.
We've got the talent elsewhere to make up for it. Sad as it seems, average players will improve us at the minute, because some of our players are just plain shit.
We'll only stop being a big club when we lose Torres/Gerrard/Carragher/Reina, etc.
