Cole and Konchesky are both an improvement over Insua and N'gog.

Disagree I think it's a like for like comparison. Maybe Ngog even just edges it on Carlton

What utter, utter, utter claptrap.
Now is not the time to start wailing about how far weve fallen, that time was over a year ago. Konchesky is severely limited, and yet still a big improvement on those he is replacing. Cole likewise.

Fuck off you with your claptrap and wailing bollocks. Could you be any more condescending ? Carlton Cole is fucking bollocks. Konchesky is maybe a slight improvement but he's fuck all above mediocre and he has about 8 years experience on Insua.

Waaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Carlton Cole is much MUCH stronger as a target man, and as a lone striker, than NGog is at this stage in his career (and in fact ever likely to be). Whilst Ibrahimovich and Dzeko (who are obviously dying to sign for us) ponder on where in Merseyside to live, anyone coming in who improves the side shouldnt really be used as cause for complaint.
The manager has 1) worked with Konchesky previously, 2) likes and trusts him 3) knows categorically that he is less limp wristed as defending than Insua, and isnt made of bubbles like Aurelio.
Both are/ would be undoubted improvements on what we have. Whether theyre top quality or not is a totally different question.
