In today's times its saying, skirtl and BR relationship has deteriorated over the past few weeks and will probably be dropped for the Arse game.

Could be off in summer maybe.....

That Williams-link has got to be a joke. Whenever I've seen him play this Season he's looked stunningly average and rather error-prone too. (Bar one or two games).
 
But defending against big men is about closing down their services. It is no need to create 15 50/50s inside our own box as they are potential dangerous. Our team is way of the defensive unit it was a few years back, when we allways had one man clsoing down the man on the ball, and one man securing him again. We ran our socks of, but we ran smart. We moved as a team and we were hard to break down. Just as Man U and Chelsea (used to be). Not as Arsenal and Spurs (under Arry at least!).

Maybe he was alluding to the fact he is the senior player and should have supported Coates more than he did. I know Skrtel isan't the kind of chap who marshals a defence etc but he could have helped Coates and the full-backs, a bit of guidance, a bit of help etc

Secondly, I know Skrtel was clattered a few times by white Didier but he went down looking like he was dying a few times. Their lumbering oaf of a striker pretty much set the scene for the entire game in the opening 10 minutes by knowking Skrtel and coates around. Maybe he should have given a little back or at the vey minimum given the impression that he wasn't going to be pushed around. Instead both just got knocked around all over the post.

On the wider issue of who should have started. Yes Carragher should have started but in the wider context we were up against Oldham, a struggling League 1 team. We should be able to put out any team from our first team squad and won that game easily.

Not really.

I posted it as confirmation that Enrique was fit and pretty much likely to play tomorrow night.

Now, you may not give a fuck and you may think Enrique is shit/useless etc, but some people may want that information in a thread about an impending match.

If he wasn't fit, he wouldn't be travelling.

If he's travelling, it's fair to use one's judgement that he'll be playing, bearing in mind his form, thus far this season and, more pertinently, immediately before his injury.

Hope he is fit because we need him, more importantly will allow Johnson so move back to right-back.

A midweek game against Arsenal only reminds of how much I miss champions league football. That feeling you get at work when all you can think about is leaving to get home to watch the game.

I'm bricking it. Carra vs Walcott will be horrendous if they are allowed to play through balls from midfield.

Carra doesn't worry me. What he lacks in pace is well covered for in routine and awareness.
