What was Suarez's pass completion rate yesterday btw? It seemed to me that he lost the ball every time he got it, except for the goal.

He actually lost the ball for the goal too if I remember correctly.
Suarez can't do shit on wet windy days in Lancashire.

I have a feeling that Giroud will score a fox in the box goal (e.g. capitalise on a defensive error) in this one.

Johnson to score for us with a screamer..

Reina
Johnson Carragher Agger Downing
Henderson Lucas
Gerrard Suarez Sterling
Sturridge.

Having Gerrard, Suarez and Sturridge interchanging should be difficult for Arsenal as Mertesacker and Vermaelen aren't actually that good.

I would kind of be tempted by that.

"We've got players coming back from injury, which will be good," he said. "Glen Johnson is back, Jose Enrique will be back and Pepe Reina will be back, so we'll travel there with a strong squad and the mentality to get a good result."

Sterling needs a rest. I dont think he should be anywhere near the starting 11.
Downing should play.

Arsenal were the first team to soundly beat us this season. Can't see us getting anything from this game.

I really hope Borini doesn't start.

"The boy Smith hadn't scored a goal at home in two years and he's come up against two big units we have at centre-half [Skrtel and Coates]." said Rodgers, whose side are at Arsenal tomorrow night. "He is a boy who has come out of university football and he looks like Didier Drogba. We have seen it before with [Christian] Benteke, who after our game against Aston Villa has disappeared.

Looks like Skrtel could be dropped.

Yea, but it's Rodger's fault, he could either play Carragher against someone who he can dominate or watch him chase shadows against Arsenal if they are in the mood.

Yea. I saw the full statement Rodgers made. Very strong language. It really looks like Skrtel and Coates annoyed him a lot.

He's right of course.

But I'm not sure the whole world needs to know.

Every word he said was true. He could have said it without naming names, but if he thinks some players think they are better than they are, it's good to take them down a peg.

Rodgers looked very angry when Robinson failed to square the ball to Suarez.

I've not got a ton of faith in Rodgers as there doesn't seem to be any real progress to justify it right now but I've got no problems with him calling out the players publicly. Most of them need telling.

Was Skrtel at fault? They pretty much exploited Coates and Robinson throughout the game. Most of their play came down our left and Smith was all over Coates all game. Skrtel didn't really have much to do or anything you could really point at and say he was at fault for.

They were both dominated by Smith.
Rodgers didnt mention any names either, but when a journo said Skrtel, Rodgers answered not just Skrtel and then the answer above.

He's right though and the players needs to step up.
I dont really care if he mentioned their names either, they looked like Conference players in that game and are paid 30k to 70k a week. Tough fucking luck.

When you show no loyalty to a player who did all he could and wasn't at fault for anyone of the goals then you can expect that player to show no loyalty to you. If I were Skrtel I'd tell Rodger's to fuck off, probably via the press.

If i were a manager of another team listening to that, I know how id set my team out to beat us.
'Its no secret we cant defend against a big man'

Thats smashing that Mr Rodgers, well done.

So how's life treating you today?

You don't have to be at fault for the particular goals to have had a poor game.

Poor game or not, Skrtel did what he was supposed to do during the moves in which Oldham scored, so Rodgers shouldn't be drawn in to criticising him in public, despite how he played when Oldham didn't score.

I get your drift, but even a blind opponent at this stage would know that we are seriously poor at defending against big players. Hardly a State secret.

The thing is I wouldn't back us to get promoted from the League One at this day and age. Loads of our current crop of players would struggle immensely.

I am much more content playing the likes of Arsenal.

To be honest, I don't think that's only a bad thing of course, but I'd love for a bit more balance to the team when it comes to the physical aspect.

You do know that other teams scout us before they play us right?
You dont need many coaching badges to figure out what he said while watching us. The good thing is there Are probably only 3-4 teams in the Premier League with a striker like Smith
