Kenny was fired for a myriad of reasons (I think) ... They obviously felt pressurized into hiring him, and the gaffes the club made after such a successful formula was developed in the 2nd half run was the reason Kenny was let go. Poor signing, a lack of direction (whether right or wrong) etc ... Rodgers seems to have x (3?) years to work with to take us on an upward curve (dunno how upward obviously). They are trying to do with thim what they did with the Red Sox which is build it intelligently with smart pick ups etc ... I hope they're as successful, and when they reach the peak, they don't make the same mistakes they made with the Bo Sox.
I'll be happy if I see signs of him making progress with the defensive issues we have. Some good signs going forward. Sort some of the bollocks at the back out and top 6 finish and i'll see that as small signs of something better. If however we continue to defend like cunts until the end of the season I'd be rather annoyed!!
