Lucas the best player in the world

I'm. I believe 100% in Klopp. I believe that he will make us great again. I support him 100% even when we drop points. I support him 100% even I think that he got it wrong because that is only my opinion and I believe 100% that Klopp know what he is doing.

I don't moan when we played a bad game because we will do that on the way to greatness. Believe me, Klopp know what he is doing and he will get it right. He know much more about tactics and our players fitness than all of us put together.

Do I care if he sell Lucas in the summer? No I don't. The reason is that Klopp know what he is doing and he will do what is best for the squad, to make it as strong as possible.

I'm a Klopp believer, 100%.

I believe too. One of the things that makes me believe is Klopp's reliance on a core team who he encourages to disagree with him. Both Rafa and Rodgers suffered from not having strong alternative opinions in the coaching set up. Klopp is a big enough man to accept alternative opinions and to allow other strong voices in the coaching set up. He's also big enough to make his own calls when it comes to it. I think he's going to have a strong season next year.

I like him, even if he has obvious flaws.

But we need to see a few transfer windows before deciding whether we'll win a title.

Every manager has his flaws.

But I have faith we'll win trophies under Klopp. Possibly not the ones we want - but we will win some.

The Europa League would be an incredible start if it happens.

I believe Klopp is human (not the massiah) and can and will make mistakes. He should be afforded time and patience.

If we consider what other options there were / would have been then his appointment was clearly a no-brainer. That said I also believe he is the perfect appointment for LFC and that he will win trophies here .. and that the PL can certainly be one of them given time and a good transfer budget.

As someone who (though OK with signing Klopp) would have preferred Ancelotti at the time, I don't agree with the first bit of that. I do agree with the rest though. The manager/club fit is a good one and I'm confident we can challenge for the big prizes with Klopp in charge.

He's clearly a good manager and we have seen improvement since Rodgers left, specifically in the bigger matches. We're starting to see a few flaws here and there, which people are getting butt-hurt as people point out he isn't a super-human and capable of making mistakes. That said, we're very fortunate to have someone with his credentials in charge of our club which has been in repeated decline since Benitez left. We'll know much more about Klopp after his first few transfer windows as his squad and his vision begin to materialise.

I do believe in Klopp and I'm extremely optimistic he'll turn this squad around and make us competitive again. His biggest endorsement came from Fergusson who feared what he could make us. If Klopp can give that old cunt the fear, he'll do for me.

Yeah, absolutely.

To think, he's already developed our two most exciting players, Can and Origi. Ojo also looks like he will develop well under Klopp. I'm just going to sit back, watch and enjoy. We'll get there, even if it takes longer than what is ideal.

The days of me placing 100% belief and trust in a manager are over. Rafa was the last one. Maybe it is a sign of me getting older and cynical and hopefully wiser. As for Klopp:

Personality and Leadership: He is perfect on that front. Handles the press brilliantly and comes across as genuine. Knows how to maintain a connection with the fans. As a representative of the club, city, our general Liverpool FC community - he is brilliant.

Tactics and Player Management: When it is good, it is very very good. I know the injuries, number of games hampered us but I was hoping we could have made a more sustained challenge for fourth. It is definitely harsh criticizing him for not challenging for fourth but still a lot to improve in the league. Players seem to love playing for him which is a big plus. The only minor criticism is the way he has handled Benteke and Sturridge. Mark1975 has made the point several times and I agree with him on this criticism. Although with respect to Sturridge he deserves a lot of credit at the way he was bought back from injury. If Sturridge ends up playing a season or two without any major injuries, then kudos to Klopp for managing his return in a smart manner.

Transfers: The big uncertainty which will define his stay here. We need a lot of good players for reasonable money and how he buys and moulds them will make a big difference. The record at Dortmund gives us a lot of cause for optimism but was it 100% due to him or were there other people involved. Can he replicate that at Liverpool without the support of his Dortmund DOF and scouts? His gravitas and reputation among players should be a big help though.

I've seen this movie before.
Foreign manager takes over English team. Leads them to a domestic cup final. Loses that final. Wins a European trophy later the same season. Gains a backdoor entrance to the CL.
Not sure how it ended though, I think the manager got fat and terminator came and killed everyone.

Same as @peekay. The genuine belief that we can get back to the top (should we get this or that right) has vanished in recent years and been replaced with an increasingly faint hope.

We were lucky to get a name like Klopp after what came before (though perhaps a little unlucky to get a Rodgers rather than a Pochettino to begin with). We've seen some good things from him and some bad things.

Ultimately it will rest on making the right signings but at a time where there are so many teams seemingly getting it together, he's probably going to have less time than his predecessors to be in transition... unfortunately.

I'm a bit less pessimistic than you about that last bit. Klopp said when he arrived that he expected a title challenge in 4 years, so I'm hopeful he'll get at least that much.

I think he'll get the time, it's just a question of the support and belief in him (as it is now) lasting.

As long as we see improvement and the team moving forward I think the support will stay about the same.
He'll need a few transfer windows to make this "his" team though.

There are big question marks to how Conte, Guardiola and Utds new manager will adapt next season. If we are going to get into the top 4 or at a stretch challenge for the title short term that could be next season. It also looks like Wenger will stay one more season.

We need to get the signings right though. Seeing as we've fucked that up nearly every year, I'm not sure what to expect yet.
It could almost be worth it not to get into the Europa League next season. If that doesnt do anyhing to our plans re certain player targets.

A CL place does make a difference, at least potentially, to whether players will want to come, but I seriously doubt a Europa League place makes anything like the same difference, plus being out of it was a big factor in us nearly winning the title under Rodgers. That said, now that we've got Klopp in charge European nights are special again. As long as we're in with a chance of the league I'd always prioritise that, but I'd hesitate about dropping the Europa pot now.

In all honesty I think Klopp is doing what he can with what he's got.
He's got us some great results and some not so good ones. It's not his players and we've got 4 or 5 players out injured.
He gambled on benching Sturridge against Villareal and it kind of worked until the last minute of the game.
So now we need to beat Villareal at home. If anything, Klopp knows how to motivate players.
I don't know how it'll end, but if we don't manage to beat a team like Villareal we don't deserve to be in the final, that's about it.
Sevilla will be waiting and they're just as good if not better than them.

They're better IMO (so I'd agree that if we can't beat Villareal we don't deserve a Final place) and they've made a speciality of winning the Europa League. That said, at our best we can definitely take them.

it's not about whether we believe, it's about the players and the team....mentally they've switched off too many times and it's cost us.

klopp has my backing 100%, but the whole scandal with sturridge is a bit childish.

If he gets the backing in the next window and has the player attraction we think he 737Max - Gotze etc - then I think we are going places. We need a big window though imo.

It is a step in the right direction regardless even if it was sad that he was forced to walk in through the outdoor.
