Lucas and Adam are to Kenny as Mascherano and Lucas are to Rafa.

You can't build a good team on a shit midfield.

Lucas was good today. Better defensively and offensively than Adam

There is no way in gods green earth that you can think Adam was worse than Lucas offensively today. He set up almost every good bit of play we had. You are getting too caught in by pass completion %.

Isn't that more of a comparison and not an analogy? Dr Mac?

Anyways, Lucas and Masher we're poor as both we're holding midfielders. Neither took the onus to attack and we looked stale. At least Adam takes the onus on himself to push us forward. However, Masher had pace and energy and could sweep up opposition attacks.

I'd love a mobile destroyer in our team and have Adam alongside him. I like Lucas and Adam as individuals but their pairing is pedestrian.

You are right about everything here but it doesn't change the fact that a shit midfield partnership is destroying Kenny's reign as it did for Rafa.

better offensively than adam? I can think of two through balls off the top of my head from adam, what did lucas add going forwards? lucas is a waste fucking space at home. a completely pointless player against 99.999999999999999 that come to anfield.

Lucas actually was trying to run into the box as the game progressed. Adam struggled to run.

Selling Meireles has cost us severely this season and was a staggeringly wierd decision.

Don't trade known goods for unknown ones, especially when you can have both.

because he wasn't being played which was criminal.

Is Raul the only player to supply a cross that Carroll has headed in for Liverpool?

Also he and Suarez were always in beast mode together.

Lucas should not be our main midfielder we need a top notch player in the middle and still need a decent right winger.

Trying is as far as he ever gets. At least Adam made some decent passes.
Oh this. This so much thisness.

It's fucking sickening to think about Oncy, it's making me so angry. We've done this before as well, it's this wierd hope based strategy. Gee, I hope these players we bring in are as good as we think they are, let's go all in with this motherfucker, even with Gerrard having a significant injury.

Lots of players like Charlie Adam can't make the step up and their amazing production in a previous team is down to how they functioned in those teams (Lampard at Chelsea for instance for many years), but we'd better hope he does as is the only person we bought who has at any point actually scored goals with any frequency. Young buys like jordan henderson often show promise and fail, but I'm not sure he's been played correctly. He isn't an attacking midfielder or winger, or when he is, he's a fucking horribly shit one, And Lucas. Oh, Lucas, we're all sick of talking about you, and you make us angry, then we see you play and you just don't do as much wrong as how much we hate you. But the problem is what the fuck is the point of having a player like Lucas, if you aren't freeing up some fucking sexy, quasi-greasy vowel-having asshole AM who is clever, has technique, and can fuck teams up. For 100 million pounds, we should have bought that player. Given that we didn't, we could have used the two that we have that are good, especially the one who was instrumental to our success last season, but instead we decided to fuck him off for no apparent reason.

It's like we're making a recipe for a cake, and it goes from shit to tasting quite good but needing a little something so we decided to remove all the eggs, make it gluten free and put a big cunt with a pony tail on top of it.

AHHHHHHH

My three concerns were
Selling Aquilani
Selling Meireles
Buying Henderson

Its fucked us up.
Meireles and Maxi were our creativity last season when Kenny took over.

That made me laugh, thanks for easing the pain.

My problem is the pain just keeps getting worse then a little better then even worse again good I'm sick of this 🙁

Adam cannot play in a 2 man midfield he isnt good enough mobile enough or fit enough, Lucas is a limited but functional player as a pairing they are a disaster

Fletcher & Anderson/Rooney
Mikel & Ramires/Lampard
Gareth Barry & Yaya Toure
Danny Guthrie & Dan Gosling (Cabaye & Tiote injured)
Song & Ramsey
Yeah Ryan
Except that every single one of those partnerships has a better destroyer than Lucas and a more mobile creator than Adam*. The fact is our midfield is an open gate to other teams and adds only Adam's long passes going forward.

Plus Song scored 5 goals and 3 assists last year and makes some nice lung busting runs forward and has a goal and 3 assists this year. Not proving anything just really like watching Song play.

*I am counting Cabaye and Tiote cause they looked shit yesterday with just Guthrie and Gosling and the rest of the team staying the same

Xabi Alonso, Momo Sissoko, Gerrard and Mascheran-o-o-o.

*Weeps*

Yeah you're right. When Cabaye went off injured Everton pretty much took control.
