Personally, going off these figures, plus CL revenue, plus sustained commercial improvement, I'd say the quoted £60m budget sounds reasonable.

But everyone will be spending more, so that will just push the prices up. There's talk of Arsenal having £80m, and even Newcastle having £60m.


It has all gone a bit mad, hopefully this is finally a quality not quantity window.

3-4 top players please, no pointless make up the numbers types.
 
I think the best thing we can do is buy six cheap young potentials from the lower leagues or abroad , and three top marque's. There's no way to afford any more.

... and surely it's not just the costs if the transfer, but the ongoing increases to the wage budget that a bigger squad will bring.
 
Well, the squad doesn't necessarily have to get bigger, just better, but wages will obviously go up regardless with all the extra cash floating about the game.
