Young players watch

We sold one of our u18s to Spurs,

CB, Luca Furnell Hill .
He's the guy who elbowed and and punched a Man U player.

Liverpool defender James Norris has completed a loan move to Shelbourne until the end of the season as he continues his development.

The 21-year-old is a versatile left-back capable of playing in midfield and has been with the Anfield side since the age of nine. Last season he made 20 appearances for Tranmere Rovers during a temporary stay in 2023-24 as he helped steer them away from relegation.

Although the winter transfer window closed for English clubs on February 3rd, there has remained an opportunity to conduct outgoing business with various leagues which has given Norris the chance for a move away this week.

He has joined Shelbourne FC, who are reigning champions of the League of Ireland Premier Division and managed by former Blackburn, Chelsea, Newcastle and Fulham winger Damien Duff, who led the side to a 3-1 victory over Derry City to start the season.

The deal will run for the 2025 campaign in Ireland, which runs to November and he will add some versatility to Duff’s squad which could help them to their second league title in over 18 years. Liverpool will likely keep a close eye on Norris who has featured twice at senior level for the club.

I guess he learned something from Thiago.
Also he was kinda at fault for the first goal.
Second goal not at all.
Third was just unlucky.

What a waste. I'm even more convinced that he should have been brought back. Anywho, that one less midfielder on the shopping list imo.

Why - he would have sat on our bench like Harvey and not played - at least he’s getting regular game time, which seems to be helping him greatly.

Hopefully he comes back ready to make a claim for inclusion next season and mean we can out resources to other areas.

Maybe...or he would have been on the pitch against Plymouth.
He might have played well. It's not an absolute certainty that he'd wind up in Slot purgatory together with Harvey.

I love Badger and have had high hopes from day one. I disagree though @Modo

Him putting in some good performances and getting regular gametime on loan is exactly what he needs.

I'd agree with you if we were struggling, but we're winning the league mate.

Fuck the FA Cup and what could have been. Get him back for a full pre-season and we're laughing.

Hard to disagree

Yeah, my only concern is that he’s doing it in Spain. Would he even want to come back to England if he feels so good about his football while being back in his home country? If not, we might have to cash in on him – I imagine there will be no shortage of suitors from the Primera teams.

He has a chance of playing CL football with us.
