Pirlo is the man who makes Italy tick. Give him time and space to dictate Gerrard

Hendo Wilshire

Sterling

NRooney Studge

There is my starting XI with Rooney able to float back should we be under pressure.

If Lallana does come, then for totally selfish reasons, I want to see this starting 6:

----------------- Gerrard -----------------
----------- Hendo --- Lallana -----------
Sterling ------ Sturridge ------ <don't care>

So I can actually watch half a Liverpool team while waiting for the new season to start.

Pirlo is the man who makes Italy tick. Give him time and space to dictate the game, then they will dominate possession and move the ball easily into our weakest areas, the defence.
This is why Raheem should start at the tip of a diamond. Going three up top is a massive gamble that will leave us exposed, and we are a certainty to concede goals easily.

I like the look of that line-up. Raheem's a tough little nugget and, if he has a good day, can disrupt Pirlo very nicely as well as making an attacking nuisance of himself.

Former West Bromwich Albion defender Lugano said: "When Luis fell down on Wednesday last week when we were training, I didn't want to think of something bad.
"I looked at him and I nearly kicked him. I said to him, 'Get up, don't make me scared, don't be making jokes'."
Lugano added on conversations that have been held in the wake of Suarez's surgery: "I said to Luis to take care, not to hurry back because he can't take any risks when he is at the limit.
"But he answered, 'You take care, you are also at your physical limit'."

My hero.

One does not simply leave Torres out of the Spain world cup squad.

Yep, he somehow did it again, will be interesting to see who got cut.

The dickhead has dropped Negredo for Torres! Hahahaha
No Negredo or Navas, but Torres is in.
I suppose when you've got that many good players, you can afford to include a couple of shit ones and leave a few good ones out.

Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Pepe Reina (Napoli), David De Gea (Manchester United).
Defenders: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Raul Albiol (Napoli), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Juanfran (Atletico Madrid), Jordi Alba (Barcelona).
Midfielders: Xavi (Barcelona), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona), Santi Cazorla (Arsenal), Koke (Atletico Madrid), Javi Martinez (Bayern Munich).
Forwards: David Silva (Manchester City), Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid), Fernando Torres (Chelsea), Pedro (Barcelona), Juan Mata (Manchester United), David Villa (Atletico Madrid)

No offence but screw Negredo, how the he'll did Villa and Torres get ahead of Llorente?
Seriously....
Del Bosque going with the tried and trusted again. Navas is injured, that's why he got cut.

He's left out a couple of good players and took the nobhead Torres, but look how silly good that squad is. It's not really going to matter for them.

I dont get how Isco isn't going! I love David Villa he's brilliant for Spain. At least they didn't take Soldado.

Spains squad doesn't impress me, not enough young players in it. In fact no young players. That is going to cost them in the next tournaments.

What do you mean by young?
De Gea 23, Alba 25, Koke 22, Martinez 25, Azpilicueta 24, they've got a few players that will be seniors in the next international tournament.
Also, players like Isco, Moreno, Delofeu have been in and around the squad.
I think they've got the right mix.

The squad looks unbalanced. The only player with pace in attack is Pedro. Costa is struggling with injury which leaves Torres and Villa up front. Great a few years ago but not so much now.

I mean Koke's age and less.

In that case you're right. But at who's expense?
They've got an abundance of talent in Spain, and their older players except maybe Torres and Villa are still playing well in their respective teams. Even if you leave out Torres and Villa, next up is Llorente and Negredo and they're not that young either.
I don't have anything against the team Del Bosque picked except that he left out Llorente.
Isco, Muniain, Herrera and the rest are just not good enough yet.

Don't underestimate them.

Seriously if the Spaniards are up for it, and that I'm not sure of, they'll fucking walk this world cup too.

They'd become good by playing in the tournament. There is no sense having a bench with torres, villa, albiol and carzola sat on it.

Torres will start by the looks of it. The rest are there on merit, again except Villa and Torres.

Torres yesterday:

Seriously, how is Negredo not ahead of him?

Negredo had a very poor end to the season though. Didnt score a goal for ages.
Costa covers what Llorente and Negredo brings to the squad.

Still a bit surprised by Torres getting included. But you never know, some old form might return with Spain.

Del Bosque knows what he's doing and his results back him up. Its a ridiculous squad.
They could have used Navas though or replaced him with Deloufeu.

Disagree. Negredo initially lost his place through injury and then couldn't get it back when Dzeko FINALLY began to play like he can, while Costa's fitness is clearly questionable. And what about Llorente? Del Bosque does have a good record, but all managers make mistakes. I think he's made one or two here which could end up biting him on the backside, admittedly talented though that squad still is.
