Costa took a few reds for that at Chelsea, didnt stop him from becoming a top class striker, Suarez did far worst in his time….didnt stop him from becoming a world class striker.
Constant nags towards Nunez is a little tiring now, you can not rate a player without having to repeat yourself 5 times over a day in 5 different threads…it is possible to do that.
Maybe you should take your own advice.

Gakpo's a decent signing for the price we paid. We were going into the latter half of the season with two strikers and 40 games or so. Therefore we needed another body upfront.
MF is the biggest concern for us, I just hope they don't think, "well we have Naby, Ox, Steph, Harvey, Fabinho, Fabs, Thiago, Clarke and Melo coming back, where do we put that signing" then sign no one in MF.

Not sure what to think TBH. I was not on 'Team Gakpo' at the WC and I have seen little of him that aside. So I had to at least view the obligatory highlight reels - and Riha is definitely wrong regards technique (first video below).

I know it's a very poor way to judge a player, but I love watching these.

I had great difficulty fapping to Darwin's highlights. In contrast, Youtube Gakpo is smooth and heady

The first mention of Gakpo in this forum was from you. I've mentioned him in the past which is a given as I mention lots of players.
Was it? Can't even remember what I said about him (not saying you're right or wrong) but are you able to post the link.

Watching Man U Youtubers who are up in arms about Gakpo. More interesting is the concern they have with regards to the debt. They apparently owe 300m to other clubs for transfers. If I was buying Man U, I'd be very worried

I'd be worried if I was was buying the inbred sweats aswell.

His crossing ability is also worth mentioning. Some lovely assists here bar the hopeless defending on set pieces.

Feels like a low risk signing given the 37 mill and his age/potential.
Lets hope he turns out to be a good signing.

Is he Argentinian? Nice to see both feet equally used

That's huge amount and explains why etc Glaziers haven't reportedly taken out a dividend this year. Is that gross or net (I assume Man U is owed money from transfers, too?)

Can you remember when they last got a decent fee for one of their outgoing players?

Manchester United owe over £300m in unpaid transfer fees - a record among Premier League clubs - according to recently released financial documents.
The Red Devils spent over £200m in the summer on new recruits, including the lucrative signings of Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Antony.
In their recently released financial records, United confirmed that they still had a cool £306m left to pay clubs for their transfer business - more than any other club in the Premier League.
While it is common practice for clubs to spread transfer fees out over a number of years, United have taken this practice to a new height and may need to offload some players in order to be able to continue spending at the same rate.
The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan should help to free up some finances, however, giving them the option to bolster their squad in January.
United are also prepared to listen to offers for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has lost his place in the lineup to Portugal international Diogo Dalot.
As far as incomings go, United are keen to sign a new goalkeeper in 2023, with Yann Sommer on the radar, while they are also among the sides to have expressed an interest in Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.

Sounds like we’re getting another Nunez according to this guy.

To be fair I do kind of see the comparison. Tall, quick, direct and inclined to attack cutting in from the left. Similar question marks over his link play and technique. But at £37m I'm alot more comfortable with the risk.

Poor mans El Ghazi according to Utd fans.....

Does that mean he'd still be a better signing than Jadon Sancho who's not even professional enough to lose a few pounds.

I did read somewhere that he’s the Dutch set piece taker and is pretty decent, dunno if that’s true but good to have more options if it is
