With SG and Luis back, we've got to be with in a shout of making a push for a top 4 place. Spurs game is massive.

I reckon the best we can hope for is fourth really but nonetheless we are very capable of doing it but we must start putting teams to bed at home...

Those cup games have clearly given us a shot in the arm though.... fuck knows we needed it after Bolton and the whole Suarez debacle.

That Everton bloke...

The Premier League match between Everton and leaders Manchester City at Goodison Park ground to a halt when a male fan went on to the pitch and handcuffed himself to a goalpost.

Police freed the man who had attached himself to the post in the goal that City were defending after a few minutes.

The Daily Mail reported the man was protesting against Ryanair's recruitment policy after his daughter was denied a job by the budget Irish airline.

A message on his T-shirt read: "Europe's greatest training robbers. Ryanair. Lowest wages guaranteed. Stop. Recruitment scamming our children."

haha what a nutter.

Ryanair are shit though. Dunno why anyone would want to work for them anyway.

If, IF, Carroll can both perform alongside Suarez as he has tonight & the Utd match, we'll finish fourth at least, probably higher, with at least one cup.

Didnt see game, but if andy did play well as you're all saying, then Kenny can't drop him against spurs surely? Play him with luis and bellers with stevie, jay and charlie behind them.

Carroll needs some love. He was ace tonight. Still a little rusty but fuck me he looks much better for a good bunch of minutes on the pitch & a wee bit of confidence.

Two games on the bounce where he has played well
[/quote]

Actually - its 3 games. He played well in the Bolton game too. The rest played crap though...

I missed the game cos I'm at a conference in a hotel THAT DOESN'T HAVE FOX FUCKING SPORTS.

Anyway, has anyone got a link to goals/highlights?

Ta.

Looks a bit like paddy Kenny!

As I said earlier during the match when is was a bit manic, or my observations were uninteresting or the bleeding obvious.
The most worried man at Anfield right now should be Downing.
We were miles better without him and his non contribution, flattering to deceive, and we now have Suarez and Gerrard to shoe-in to the team.

The irony is that he was supposed to make Carroll, in the end it is apparent Carroll is better off without him.
Carroll had another great all round game tonight, he is still not a £35m striker and probably never will be so we have to take that Albatross from around his neck , it was just circumstances at the time.
If we get the right balls into Carroll he will do some damage, and if he can click with Suarez we really can go places.
Oh, we are still a striker short though whatever happens.

This thread has been great. Well done everyone.

From Stephen King books, to T.I. on a horse. Ha.

Watched the match in work on my iphone. Liveonlinefooty is excellent on it. Delighted Carroll and Kuyt both scored and Bellamy was excellent as per usual. Bellamy, Suarez and Carroll is a mouth watering attack.

Adam was much much better yesterday. I think it's rather obvious that for him to be effective, he needs Spearing (or Lucas) to lessen his defenisve responsibilities.

Ha ha I completely forgot about downing

Indeed, I was wondering why i was beginning to feel optimistic, now I've starting to worry about the Spurs game again! please leave him out again Kenny, he's off form, he needs to be dropped to realise he has to up his game.

It's easily done.

Exactly - he is Mr Uninteresting, a degree of talent that if combined with a decent set of gonads could actually do something.
I had much higher expectations, in that I thought he could be an average winger for us, the reality is Albert Riera was twice the player, I wish we still had Albert, he would have stuck a few decent balls in for Andy, and support Jose much better.
