Post Match Wolves (H) - Sun Feb 16th 14:00

Cunha was impressive. Could he be the answer to our nr 9 issues?

62 mill release clause looks like great value.
Still got my concerns about his attitude but after listening to an interview with teammate and fellow Norwegian, Strand Larsen, it seems that most of it is just an insane will to win. Appaz a great guy off the field. There are no doubts about his ability.
Wait wait wait...weren't you on team Pedro a while back?

I mean, Suarez I'm pretty sure was a massive cunt on the pitch. I'd still take prime Suarez in a fucking heartbeat

Saw the second half. Twas poor. If we play like that against city we will grab a draw if we’re lucky against Villa and get battered by City.

We all need to realise we're not spending mad money on a 9 this summer. The likes of Cunha, David, and others like that, are probably going to be the level we'll target, rather than isak

The atmosphere was awful btw. We need a better Anfield for the run in.
It's give and take. Give the crowd a reason to cheer and they'll respond. The lack of effort, ability and desire today, especially in the second half, was fucking criminal

Regardless, there is a title to be won. We won’t play well in every game but need the backing from the crowd. Nerves in the stands is felt by the players.

It was dead quiet.

I hope Slots looking at him. Not saying he's the answer or the one, but I'm not sure that exists. Cunya is more than good enough to play for us and would thrive around better players.

Aye, as much as we’ve got a tough run of fixtures over the next ten days, Arsenal are facing their own tough run…and haven’t the squad to cope…
Yep. And I don't actually see our schedule as being as tough as theirs (and they have injury issues).

Their next 6 games include 3 London derbies (West Ham, Chelsea and Fulham) and away games at Forest, United and Everton. Plenty of chances for dropped points there.

Our next 4 are Wed/Sun/Wed/Sat and Villa (A), City (A), Newcastle (H) and Southampton (H). Post the LC final we have 4 games against mid-table or relegation teams.

Yeah loved what I saw today. Though I prefer Cunha to that guy you're on about.

Nonsense. It was dead good.

I went today. I've only just got home so haven't seen any replays but I thought 1) the first pen we got was a dive 2) the second pen we didn't get looked like a pen 3) Salah looked onside to me for that goal but it didn't even go to review, was he massively off? He looked onside and I'm usually OK at this. 4) we ended up making really hard work out of an easy game.

1. Wasn’t a dive, there was contact but questions over did he have the ball under control.
2. 100% dive.
3. Miles off.
4. 100%.

It’s almost as if playing lots of big matches 3 days apart against teams fighting against relegation and rested are tougher than people expect?

Thank fuck we held on.
Thank fuck no red cards.
Thank fuck no injuries.
Thank fuck for Salah.
Thank fuck we don’t have to squeeze in an away game vs City in the FA Cup.

I’m confident we can lift our game vs Villa as they should be tired too.

2. 100% give.
3. Miles off.
4. 100%.
1. He doesn't need to have it under control (WTF does this idea come from) ! 100% a pen.
2. 100% NOT a pen.
3. 1m offside.
4. Yep

I’m a little surprised we only used 4 subs. I guess the Konate one forced that a little. There was probably opportunity around the 80 mark but then there’s a chance of injury/red card. We could’ve done with getting Chiesa on but with the game in the balance Slot wouldn’t want to risk it had they found a goal.

It seemed we thought we could coast it second half but with the derby midweek we just couldn’t get control of the game once again. We really needed that third goal but we let them back into it.

What I appreciate about slot is that there's no spoofing. He acknowledges the Poor performance, second half and we can't let that continue.

I wish he'd stop over emphasizing the Everton loss/draw. Shit happens
