He doesn't have to have. For example if a defender wrestles an opposition player to the ground at a corner it's a penalty - even though that player may never have been near the ball.

It really pisses me off that we didn’t just get on with signing a first choice LB in January.

We’ll know who we want and had a good half a season to cement the idea that Robbo is definitely in decline and Tsimikas isn’t good enough. All I kept reading was commentators saying we couldn’t have three first choice LBs if we signed one, but we’d only have had one (the new player).

It’s mental that in this season when we’ve got an incredible opportunity to win big trophies, that we’ve, by design, gone into the sharp end of the season with a obvious weak point in our back line that could have easily been rectified.

I think we want kerkez, and the fact he said he wasn't moving in Jan meant we went "ok, we can wait"

I understand waiting for players we want. It's more the waiting for players we don't know if they'll come that annoys me. The years after tchouameni and Bellingham, we just sat on our hands hoping. I'm hoping kerkez has shown willing when we've talked to his agent
