Will Suarez leave? The 2014 version

Why, in the name of holy fuck, could dreamy think he has bit someone to engineer a move away from Liverpool? How does it make sense? He is a crazy fucker, with big wonky teeth that he regularly sinks into opponents. To think clubs will be queuing up to spend 65-80 million to sign a serial biter is nuts. Yet again, Suarez's actions have probably ensured he'll stay another season at Liverpool, and perhaps the rest of the best of his career. He is a fucking nut though.

you honestly think the likes of barca or real will give a shit about this ? If anything they might try and use it to their advantage and drive the price down.

I don't see the link between another bite and a transfer or the amount of any fee at all

there shouldn't be but if another storm is whipped up over this , people calling for the club to sack him blah blah , would you not chance your arm on the price in the hope we might panic ?

We'll sell him for £60m

Unfortunately, the chances of us selling him for less than his worth has increased...
The Club can cite the need for their reputation to be priority, and off Suarez goes with us being short changed.

Another mess of a situation we're left with. The guy, along with Stevie G, is the best player I've seen play for Liverpool in my lifetime but he just can't seem to help himself. It's a sad state of affairs all round.

Ah Gary, it'll all be old news in a few weeks. Just wait and see. Events become old, and people forget. Look at Anthony weiner. Ahem.

How in fucks name does this mean we sell him of less than he's worth?

If he had a release cause he gets sold if the clause is activated.

If he doesn't have a release clause, then he doesn't get sold.

The only scenario in which he gets sold for less than his "worth" is if LFC make an active decision to do just that.

It wont affect his asking price. What it coud affect is the interest in him from Real and Barca.

How can you be so certain?

Also, why did this whole "Suarez is leaving" thing get so frenzied after the England game? There have been a few stories about it but it hardly seems to justify the "defo gone" comments.

Because I doubt this will change Rodgers and FSG stance about selling him. If they want rid then the asking price could certainly drop. Real and Barca could obviously not care so thats impossible to know.

I reckon FIFA's evidence standard will be higher than that of the FA and they won't convict on probability. In other words he'll get away with it by the skin of his teeth.

He hasn't got any skin on his teeth. He's got other people's skin on his teeth. But he had his own teeth circumcised.

Was pleasantly surprised this morning on TalkSh!te. Alan "Three Dinners" Brazil and Ray "Super, Ralph" Wilkins were huffing and puffing about how terrible this was, then bluenose Mike Parry came on to do the newspaper review and said violent fouls are far worse. Didn't shut the other two up, of course, but it was refreshing to hear.

The 'arguments' all seem stage-managed on that station though. I'm not sure anyone believes what they're saying. Someone needs to take a contrarian view to incite a bit of 'debate'. I reckon they get little envelopes before they go on air telling them the view they're meant to take on the breaking sports stories. Parry probably believes he should be banned from the game for life like all the rest of the pundits out there.

That's often true as between the co-presenters, but Parry's only an occasional visitor these days and I don't know if they're really after debate during his review of the papers. Apart from anything else Parry's a circus act all on his own, which is one reason why I was so surprised to hear this from him.

None of those people should be given a platform on which to speak about football in the first place, irrespective of their opinions.

I've finally found a reason to agree with Hansern.

What has changed with that bite?

Did we not know Suarez was prone to a bit of madness before?

Actually I believe the "photoshopped" pic to be the real one as it looks like what was shown in TV.

I also saw another pic floating around that I believe the mirror used. It's photoshopped to make it look worse than it was.
