Rafa?

Rafa.

Rafa.

The fact that he couldnt see last night after about 60 mins that we were never gonna win that fucking game playing 2 holders, is beyond me.

About the hour mark, Lucas gets the hook, bring Aquilani on and lets fucking go for it. We need to win the game against that pile of shite.

But no, he's happy with the draw as per fucking usual. Wanker.

And to make it worse I had a £20 treble, Sheff Utd, Northampton & us. Done me in for abou £130.

Cunts. Im so fucking annoyed today.

All of the above.

Last night pissed me off royally. It was a performance that lacked the passion and fight shown at the Spurs game. We can all handle poor results if we see a performance that shows 100% commitment. It's hard to justify when you see such an insipid dismal performance as last night. Do the fans have to line the streets with banners every match to gee the players up ? Seriously, WTF do we have to do to get a performance from our team that's worthy of seeing from players wearing a red shirt.

The owners are to blame for not investing in the club and team and lying about the promises to do so.
Rafa is to blame for not being able to get the most of the players he has and spending the money he has been given unwisely at times.
The players are to blame for playing like a bunch of frightened little girls with no heart or passion.

Buck it the fuck up, all of you.

I've been trying to stick up for Rafa this season. In the cold light of day, I've never really wanted to see him sacked and I guess I still have to say that I want to leave it to the end of the season before making my mind up.

That said, the buck stops with the manager. After six years in charge, we should be better than this.

We don't practice attacking play. It's utterly unforgivable.

Benitez actually *hates* football.
Haha...

A lot of things can, will and should be said about Rafa but that's just wrong. The attacking-style of our play last Season and the way he made Valencia attack as an unit kind of undermines everything you've just said.

There are a lot of other issues to address however, such as how on earth can we not create a decent goal-scoring opportunity away against Wolves in a must win games?

I blame the manager and the players.

Agree!

Not many people would complain the starting line-up before the game. There were only 2 changes from last match, Maxi for Degan, anyone against it? and SG for Aqui, it is just a 50/50. But eventually,no one turns up, the players are to blame.

And the manager did not use all the substitute to change, he is to blame.

I'd a €20 treble of Forest (4/6), Cardiff (9/5) and Ipswich (2/1). Fucking West Brom equalised in injury time. €280 it cost me

9 months ago we were putting 4 past United, 4 past Newcastle, 5 past Villa, etc etc.

Of course we're an attacking threat. We're currently playing shit, have zero confidence, and as a result are tentative and timid in a lot of our play.

That's true, as it has been this whole season. Are you still confident it is going to turn around?

Yes.
In time for this season though? I've been equally confident since late fall that we would hit a purple patch and make up a lot of ground at some point. I'm worried it's going to be too late though. It's still likely that Spurs, City and Villa will experience their typical late-season dropoffs but it's less certain than it has been in previous seasons.

That's true of course, but the suspicion remains that for whatever reason Rafa has retreated again from putting the emphasis on attack to "controlling" a game (whatever that fucking means). Our attacking prowess last season was partly down to us having to make up lost ground to make a title challenge (as well as success breeding confidence) - it appeared that Rafa had finally realised that he had to place more emphasis on going for the jugular against all-comers.

And yet here we are again, two defensive midfielders, fullbacks playing as wingers, trying to grind out 1-0 wins by compacting play once ahead (and then of course conceding late equalisers). Last season we'd have continued with an expansive game once ahead, knocking 3,4 past opposition before taking our foot off the pedal.

Rafa's shrinking away from taking any risks and we look a pale shadow of the confident attacking unit we'd become (for a brief time).
