I'm confident of Rijkaard's Roy's ability to be less shit than RoyRaffa.

Of course not
But that was a lot of peoples attitude four months ago.
I am not convinced that Rijkaard is the man for the job and I am lothe to jump into a panic appointment just because Roy is so shit.

I don't see it as a panic appointment, I see it as appointing someone who has experience of bringing through youth and playing a more expansive style of football. I see it as a long term appointment because it no quick fix will see us challenging at the top of the table anytime soon.

I am not for one second suggesting that we stick with Roy for a second longer.
But I am in the "Kenny as caretaker till the right man comes along" camp.To be fair I was there last June as well.

Hopefully you are right about Rijkaard though Neil, if he is to be our next manager.
There's a time for panic and this is it.

We're 19th.
ha, there's definite truth in that. i don't really like the appointment - if it happens obv. - but desperate times...

i'd be willing to support this given the circumstances, and i can confirm that i should be in a position to release a tweet confirming my stance on the matter some time early this afternoon.

rafa was forced out with a 7th place finish yet the european champions had no reservations about snapping him up.
Rafa was forced out because of a disastrous season followed by a disastrous internal co-operation issue. He was tired of Liverpool and Liverpool was tired of him. They weared each other out. It doesnt mean he is a bad coach, but under our circumstances he was not going in the right dirrection. And to be fair it will probably does his own career a big favour to have a break from the madhouse we have over here!

Luckily we have to safe hands on the weel now... Just sad they are stedily driving us to relegation 😉

my basic point is;
being sacked for a low league finish doesn't always = shit manager

Poor Inter must feel badly for itself. Maureen talked about Chelsea all the time when he was there, and now Rafa is always bleating on about his Ex Club/Girlfriend....Poor Auld Inter!

Gala are 9th......

and?

I couldn't care less about the turkish league, I do however like rijkaard's ability to bring through youth and his footballing philosophy.
Surely there are other managers that have these qualities and show a bit more promise as a manager?
I couldn't care less about the Turkish league either but I do care about Liverpools potential new managers coaching record not looking too good.

Yea that's shit!
Lets gamble with Di Matteo. 😀
I really don't know who we should sign now.
I just hope we sign them and give them the rest of the season to sort out who they want to keep and get rid of.

is nothing sacred, oncy? 😉

If Kenny backs Rijkaard, then i'm going to join the Rijkaard camp.

Oncy has convinced me.

Oncy,

Can you kindly reinstate(only if Roy is sacked) the dumbledore's army for deluded people like me? I'm feeling overly positive about all these changes.

is that some kind of sick euphemism?

otherwise this erection is wasted

If we insist on making a permanent signing now we'll be making exactly the same mistake we made when we went for Roy. Unless Mourinho becomes available tomorrow (and he won't) the only sensible appointment would be Kenny till next summer while we properly headhunt the right man, NOT just the apparently best one who happens to be kicking his heels at the moment.

someone on liverpool way has said the same rumour as oncy, roy to resign after the game with rijkaard announced as manager on friday.
