I did. And I think I've already entered.

From Kenny's comments he seems to think he'll be spending in January, however if I was FSG I'd be looking at Comolli & Kenny's spending and thinking WTF are we going to get ? A Carroll or a Suarez, a Henderson or an Adam ? *jury is still out on Downing for me whereas the other two are not going to contribute to this season IMHO*.

Very good post.
Hodgson was shit and not the right man for us, but in his defence, he had peanuts to spend. Kenny's spent over £100 million. In just TWO transfer windows.
We're not asking for a Title challenge this season, we're not asking for us to win every game 4 or 5-0 and we're not asking us to not slip up from time to time. What we're asking for and expecting is to have a competent football team and one capable of beating Sunderland, Norwich and Swansea on our own turf.
It's unacceptable.

Personally i've always liked Darren Bent, but he's getting older and would still cost a lot.
Unforunately i don't know many players who fit the bill as a poacher. I'd happily look to youth to see if morgan could be a decent enough poacher.
Perhaps a young player like de jong, or a sujlemani (for the wing) at ajax would give us some decent options offensively.
For big money though i'd be tempted to see what it would take for Pato to be sold

the owners may say we expect a return on our 100m investment so made do with what you have till the summer, and if they did say that could we say that is an unfair stance to take?

Well, they've actually invested less given we received money for players but even so we spent a fair whack on players.....not very well as well. So not really an unfair stance. Fact remains we should be doing better with the players we have. Sooner Stevie is back the better as well (again)
