What's our best CM 3?

No it isn't. Traore was. The rest vary from ok to fucking brilliant.

If you’re declaring our whole current midfield (except Milner) “shite,” then surely players like Baros, Kewell (in the latter stage of his career), Dudek, Smicer, Djibril Cisse, not to mention Traore are not any better. Gini has probably scored twice as many goals from midfield in his career as Baros and Cisse combined. Even the likes of Riise and Finnan were not stars. We are not an untalented team by any stretch; however I agree with you that the doubts will persist until we actually win something.

Wijnaldum has scored 7 goals for Liverpool in total. Cisse scored 19 in one season alone.

As for Steve Finnan not being :"a star" what does that mean? He wasn't wanted by Barcelona?
He was one of the best full-backs in the country, as evidenced by him being chosen as the best RB in the league by the PFA twice.

Oooh I missed this. Baros was top scorer in the Euros the year earlier, and loads of us remember that well coz we all had a tenner on him at 50/1. Fair enough he wasn't quite cut out for our league, but he was far from shite.

Kewell, who had been the best winger in the league when we bought him, limped off early on and was replaced by Smicer - who fucking scored a screamer. And while Smicer was never going to get up to speed in the prem, he's another Czech who most people slowly warmed to, as he had the knack of finding a great pass when least expected, playing with a smile all the time, and scoring goals when desperately needed in European Cup finals.

His song, He's Czech, he's great, he's Patrick Berger's mate, Vladimir... was one day adapted by me and was one of only a few times I got a chant going on The Kop... He's Czech, he's shit, he's improved a little bit...
