Dembele's injury record makes Sturridge look like Wolverine. I'd stay away.
This Werner story is a bummer.
I think we're making a major mistake if we don't spend money this summer. Covid will create financial problems of course, but we're in a unique position of consolidating our position as the best team in England and a top 3 club in Europe for the next 5 years if we make the right moves now. Fuck that up, and our window of opportunity for winning trophies gets reduced to another 2 years tops. The present squad will start declining in performance by around 2022.
I could get if Covid had made the transfer market completely unviable for everyone, but if the likes of Inter and Chelsea are willing to cough up 50 million this early, there's no reason why we can't either.
It is understandable though - owner bankrolled clubs can afford to splash the cash even in this climate. We can't with revenues severely curtained, and salary expenditure remaining as high as ever. FSG are not spending their own money for transfers. That's just how it is.Chelsea will be backed by Abramovich
City will be backed by Sheik Mansour
FSG will tell Klopp, balance the books. By the looks of things.
We run the risk of letting the squad get too old.
I am seriously gutted about this news.
Squad rebuilding aside, there's AFCON in 2021 too. 😕
