Have you seen the tv series OZ? Cause this forum isn't far from it.
If you want to survive, take notice:

1. Lucas is a cunt, simple fact. Don't fight it, don't sugar coat it. Or you'll be the cunt.

3. Watch out for Brendan. He's like the Adebisi of this forum. Stay on his good side, or else!
4. Binny, Ryan, Mark MC, Oncey, Sunny, LeTallec, Rosco, FFF, Sheik, Spider (hope I didn't forget anyone) are thread starters/posters you should look for if you want a fair opinion about something or if you want inside news. But they won't protect you from Brendan, well maybe LeTallec. Watch out, they might just gang rape you.

I saw a bit of sixty minutes with Lucas the other day, and honestly he seems like the nicest guy. Yes, he's not the best player in the world, but he's nowhere near as bad as some make out. Unfortunately he was in a situation where he was 20,21 and chucked into the first team after we lost two world class CM's, he was never gonna live up to what we needed. Brendan has been bugging me since the days of Momo "brains" and Crouch "Lurch".
So even though I'm not Lucas biggest fan I really don't enjoy that a player is called a cunt because of poor performances.

I think the mix of characters is what makes this place special, and brendan was/is part of that, so despite agreeing with the criticisms made of some of his posts (and despite the fact that I've had run-ins with him myself) I'd be sorry if he stayed away permanently.

I pretty much agree.

Although as Themn said his contribution in match-threads especially when we're not doing so well could be rather annoying bordering the abysmal.

He's still the poster that has made me laugh out loud (also known as lol) the most over the years however and that counts for something.

In other words the little devil will be somewhat missed.

Everyone will miss the 'good' side of Brendan. The humorous intelligent and witty one. But his 'bad' side i.e. constant abuse of posters, constant winding up, specific targeting of some posters far outweighed that. He got told this. Numerous times. He refused to listen despite all kinds of attempts and different methods of trying to get the message through. For a clever lad, he was thick as fuck.

It was at the point were numerous old hand posters, myself included, really weren't enjoying the site any more and were ready to go elsewhere. It was a constant ball ache. A constant fight. Endless bickering and sniping. The majority of which were instigated by one poster who chose to persistently ignore what we feel are fairly relaxed posting principles despite numerous warnings and polite requests. He is not bigger than this site and never will be.

Since we removed him from the site it has been noticeably more relaxed, friendly and there's been loads of good natured banter. It was 3 weeks before anyone even realised he was missing. We've had more new members than for a long while and posters, who haven't posted for a while or very much, posting again and much more frequently.

My personal view? I like the Brendan that's funny, witty , sharp and intelligent - it's near impossible not to. I despised the nasty spiteful bullying troll he had unfortunately become. He simply could not control himself and he was poisoning the site. It's a shame but really I think it's for the best and I've not missed him one tiny bit because of his Jekyll side. That's MY personal view.

Will he be back? I'd think unlikely but I never say never. The moderators work on majority decisions that we feel are for the overall good of the site especially for this one as it was difficult decision to make. We all respect those decisions and go with them but if there is ever a decision that he does return it will be respected. It'll also most likely be my last day here. Maybe some others I don't know- it's not my place to say that

Listen, the posting principles are there for a reason. We want banter on here. We want people to have a laugh, rip each other, debate. It HAS to be respectful though otherwise this site descends into chaos and farce and is like an internet custard pie fight. You all know that. No one is exempt not even the owners. If we fuck up we get told you can be assured.

Time to move on. The site's been brilliant of late and everyone has contributed to it. I've fell in love with it again and I know at least 4-5 others feel the same.
