Is CL really a main attraction anymore?
Look at for example all the big players that went to China for the money.
If the 2 year ban for City is confirmed on Monday, will players like Ederson Laporte Aguero KDB Sterling want to go?
Some of them want to have a chance of winning it and don't want to spend their peak years out of it so yeah.

If they had Laporte and Sane the entire season, it might have ended differently.

This city team won the domestic treble. Squad-wise it's no competition.

Sheffield's great away win a Chelski means Chelsea are going to come at us all gun blazing, same as Arsenal will, those games against us are practically finals. Hopefully, we get title-winning Liverpool and not rare off-day Liverpool like today against Burnley.
Today I felt our general play was really good apart from 1 or 2Lovren Gomez moments.
Also Pope was great today but I felt there definitely was an element of trying to ensure our goals have a special flourish too personally I just want ugly goals though if I can't have beautiful ones.
Oh well, we do it the hard way... possibly help prevent Chelsea and Arsenal from making CL/EL by beating them, finish off at Newcastle and DONE.

We have been on par with them last season and blew them apart in points tally this season. If we play at 100%, we are better than them. Maybe not as much as the points tally this season indicates but still definitely better than them. They are better than us when both of us are not at 100%. They have a better squad, more attacking options and can blow teams away playing at 80%. I don't think we have that.
That is why refreshing the squad with one or two good attacking options this summer is so important. I doubt whether this squad can maintain that superhuman level for another season or two.
Agreed, like I said in a later post, XI Vs XI we're better imo, but I'm talking about the team as a whole. We can't afford to stagnate. We are currently on an upward trajectory since Klopp joined but all good things come to an end, that happened to Klopp at Dortmund. Obviously his team was wrecked by injuries during his last season but this Liverpool squad is quite vulnerable in certain positions as well. In ideal situation, we'd have better cover and imo it's not much to ask for.
