VDV just walked off without consulting his manager. Good player but so injury proned. Bullet dodged.

I think all those egos could still derail them. Remember Chelsea looked unbeatable at the beginning of last season. I'm still not convinced by Mancini as a manager, nor that City will have any real dressing-room spirit. Just having the best and most expensive squad in the league does not ensure that you're going to win the league.

Still, 4-0 away at Spurs is pretty fucking impressive.

Chelsea's egos have fared alright over the years in fairness. 3 League titles, 2 FA Cup, and 1 Carling Cup.
Almost all won under a brilliant manager.
You can dress it up whatever way you want mate, them Chelsea players with their big egos who were supposed to be disruptive and cause chaos have played a massive part in the Club's success since 2004.

If Modric does leave, as do Palacios and Crouch, the situation could be quite sticky for Spurs. That said, they might have the likes of Diarra lined up for their annual last minute shopping.

Parker as well.

Friedel
Corluka
Dawson
Kaboul
Assou-Ekoto
Lennon
Parker
Diarra
Bale
VdV
Defoe

Good enough for top 4? Dont think so.

I hope they finish 10th.

Fuck Spurs.

Anyway, Arsenal's lineup:

Szczesny
Jenkinson
Djourou
Koscielney
Traore
Coquelin
Ramsey
Rosicky
Walcott
Van Persie
Arshavin

They're fucked.

Dzeko again, their 5th.

Boss goal.

My bets going well at least. Convincing wins for all teams. Let's hope Utd fuck that up.

Still, at least £100 will temper my mood a bit should they win.

that arsenal team's awful
who the fuck is coqauvan in the middle?

I'm not convinced by city's defense but their attack is so good you can't get at it, when bolton had a good go citiy's defense was all over the place.

It is indeed. who the fuck in Coquelin? anyway, 3-1 to the scum. walk in the park.
Id take a 3-1 now mate, honestly!

Coquelin was out on loan in France last season. Dunno if you've heard of younggunsblog on twitter, he said yesterday he'd be playing. Says he's very like Flamini.

I could see 5 or 6 here, really fear for us

Modo, thanks for the link mate. Great quality.
Any chance you might have the sopcast link for the Scum/Arse game?
Looks like the current link will go SPL.

I'm not dressing anything up. Part of my point was that I'm not convinced by Mancini as manager. If you've got a squad full of massive egos, you need to have a very strong manager to make them work as a team.

I'm not saying City can't or won't win the league, but the fact that they've got the best squad in the league and that they've been in storming form in August does not mean they're champions in waiting.

Dunno, mate.

If you thought Arsenal's XI was awful, their bench:

Fabianski
Miquel
Chamakh
Lansbury
Sunnu
Chamberlain
Ozyakup

Wenger deserves sympathy but is he not culpable for the current situation? For his and our sake, hopefully his boys will nudge out a result. Aren't optimistic though.

Just struck me that Arsenal hasnt scored in the league yet this season. How shit is Chamakh that he cant get into the starting XI?
