As Sheikh said, we often flatter opposition keepers because our shooting isn't what it should be. Henderson for example should've buried that first chance - Begovic shouldn't have had a chance to save it.

A lot of his saves were at the near post thanks to Sturridge's selfish play. Pretty regulation stuff.

The Gerrard save was also pretty standard for a shot from 40 yards out. The one excellent one was the one against Henderson in the second half which he deflected on to the post.

I think it was six of one, half a dozen of the other, on another day they might have gone in. That's why a good goalscoring midfielder gets 10+ a season, and not 40 or whatever, because they know how to chip in, but will probably miss a few along the way. Hendo has scored a few quite clinically over the last several months, so he can do it, it's just a case of improving his consistency, he'll get goals, no doubt.

that's what I noticed too.
From other angles it looks like a curling shot but from the front it seems like it was a really good save

Man utd scored 4 goals yesterday from 7 shots on target. We scored 1 from 11.

I'll stick my head out and say by the end of the season we will have more shots on target than Man U yet score far fewer goals.

With Sturridges injury record and Suarez's disciplinary, we need another striker more than another midfielder. If the reputed amount of £30m is true than buying Fred plus Eriksen would make more sense than buying just Willian.

I thought all our shots, apart from a few ill placed long range efforts were as good as could be expected. I know we praised the opposition's keeper a lot last season, but I also seem to remember saying that Sturridge/Suarez should've done better. I don't think that was the case yesterday.
