Chile

PS Why are all the names in English, apart from Ivory Coast, which you've written in French?

I really think chile are going to turn spain over.

We'll see. I think they looked the most incisive team in attack in the competition thus far. Obviously their chances of winning the competition are very slim but they've impressed me, and my ancestry is part Chilean, so they're my favourite team now.

Germany also good, with goals to prove it. Oezil is hot poo. Italy too, we shouldn't underestimate. No pace, but everything else in abundance.

Spain could come good though as they have a great, great squad. And of course Argentina could do something magic if they settle into themselves; they've got the most obvious bunch of attacking talent, and for that I'd be pleased to see them win.

I'd like to see Ghana go far, I think they're the best of the African teams.

I'd be surprised if Brazil win it as although they don't look bad they don't look like Brazil. Uruguay could manage it with a run of good fortune. Suarez is overrated though, I reckon. Better left in Holland. Forlan is ace though

The accountants for Sepp Blatter and for Budweiser.

Oh, you mean who's going to win on the pitch? Argentina. Although I'm hoping Germany's excellent display wasn't solely on account of their opposition.

[/quote]That would be mad. And also would see Spain out of the world cup given that Switzerland are hardly likely to fail against Honduras.

Spain aren't set up to play against Switzerland, but on most days they'd have won.

They haven't suddenly turned shit. I'd be shocked if they didn't turn over Chile, it's a better game for them.

The easy response is Germany with there flying wingers and depth at Striker and being the only team to be used to the crap ball it could may well be. But even though every other team failed to impress I think Brazil will get found out for a lack of width and it will be Spain and Xavi who take it home. Could be my heart talking though as nothing would make me happier than seeing Torres and Pepe celebrate.

Anyone but Italy and I'm happy. Too many smug cunts in Winnipeg and I'm going to drive through Little Italy with a flag of the team that knocks them out. (Hiding behind glass, of course.)

I'm backing Chile for fun more than anything else, but they have a reasonable outside chance.

I think Spain will probably beat them to stay in the competition though.

Careful everyone, don't get run over by that reversing truck.

I'm still backing them! But I admit there's more than a touch of wishful thinking about it.

Like if I felt nationalistic feelings towards England and I backed them.
