This is on like Donkey Kong apparently.

Initial loan deal, possibility of a permanent deal.

Some tool claiming to be a Liverpool fan just rang talkshite & said he wouldnt get in our side.

Fucking hell.
 
The last year he's been in fucking dire form, and he looks to be over the hill.

I can't really understand why they've gone after him.
 
All I remember of Vieira now is a young Arsenal midfield making him look like an OAP a couple years ago in the CL.

City have got some a lot of injuries as well as ACN to contend with, so perhaps short-term cover is a decent idea particularly when you take into account their uncertain manager situation.

Might work out for them but can't say this is a transfer that makes me think "I wish it was us".

I've told him a million times.
 
He's was a brilliant footballer, really very good indeed.

However from the few times I've seen him since his Arsenal departure, he's looked half the player, and thus returning to the Premiership now would be a brave thing to do.

City, if looking for cover, would almost certainly be better off either pulling someone up through the ranks, or pinching someone from a midtable/relegation team. Vieira is done at the top level. Still better than the current form of our midfield but I wouldn't take him on a free.
