@HLNinEngeland: RT:Multiple Spanish outlets now reporting PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Madrid to finalise signing of Angel di Maria.

Thats that then. No one would were advocating this signing for 55m. I'd deffo sign him for 40 mill.

Maybe a move for Lavezzi?

Or the good Lucas?

Another whose name is better than his ability.

Di Maria?

He was sensational for parts of last season. I remember he was like a man possessed in the El Classico(s) - totally outshined everyone else on the pitch, which is no mean feat. Defo not a 50M for David Luiz type situation.

Lavezzi might be more what we're looking for in the short term, though, and I'd have thought PSG would be more likely to sell.

Lucas Moura would have that star quality (in abundance) that we're lacking now, but I was surprised at his scoring record - just 3 last season. Is he really what we need?

Inconsistent and a lightly lightweight.

Not for me

Liverpool have rekindled efforts to sign Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Reports in Spain suggest that Atleti are keen to acquire Santi Carzola from Arsenal this summer but will need to raise further funds if they are to bring in new players this summer.

Liverpool are reported to have made an enquiry for Turan and the Turkish midfielder is keen on making the move according to Eurosport Turkey.
Atleti would allow Turan to leave this summer if his release clause is matched. Turan signed a contract extension with the Colchoneros last season, keeping him at the Spanish side until 2017. The 27-year-old's release clause was increased from €24 million to €40 million as part of the new deal.

Liverpool have been keeping tabs on Turan and have been closely linked with the Turkish international in the past. Turan's agent Ahmet Bulut recently confirmed that Liverpool had expressed interest in his client. "Arsenal and Liverpool? A destination in the Premier League would be to the liking of the player and I can confirm there are clubs interested, like the two mentioned," Bulut said.

Turan has never hidden his desire to play for Liverpool one day. "I have always played at clubs wearing red kits," Turan told Four-Four-Two.
"Steven Gerrard is my hero, I love the history and tradition of Liverpool, the atmosphere at Anfield sends shivers down my spine." Manchester United have also been closely linked with Turan and were reported to have agreed terms with the Turkish international last season but decided to spend €33 million on Marouane Fellaini instead.

Turkish sport journalist Acun Ilıcalı said, "the weird thing is, Arda was supposed to play for Manchester United this season. "Manchester United agreed terms with Arda and he was on the verge of completing his transfer however, they chose Fellaini instead in a last minute deal. "At the time I felt bad for Arda and was upset that he missed out on such a great opportunity to play for a club like Manchester United but it turns out I was completely wrong. It all worked out in Arda's favour."

Turan joined the Rojiblancos from Galatasaray for €12 million in 2011 making him the most expensive transfer to leave the Turkish Süper Lig. The 27-year-old became the first player born in Turkey to win the La Liga as the Colchoneros won their first league title since 1996.

Former Liverpool forward Michael Ngoo is in talks with Odense over a possible move to Denmark, Sky Sports understands.
Ngoo is a free agent after leaving Liverpool earlier this summer upon the expiration of his contract at Anfield.
Liverpool beat a host of clubs to Ngoo's signature when they signed him as a 16-year-old for £250,000 from Southend in 2009

Liverpool's fight to prise Dejan Lovren from Southampton has intensified after his manager demanded he returned to pre-season training.
The Reds have already had a £20m offer for the Croatian defender turned down this summer and the Saints are set to dig their heels in. Lovren has made it clear he wants to join Liverpool and has handed in a transfer request but his new manager at St Mary's, Ronald Koeman, has told him he must come back to the club.

The 24-year-old is Brendan Rodgers' number one defensive target and hopes to reunite him with former team-mates Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana at Anfield.
Lovren believes there was an agreement in place that if a club offered £20m for his services then Southampton would let him go. But Saints are refusing to play ball and Koeman expects the centre-half to rejoin the rest of the squad this weekend.

"Dejan is a Southampton player, he has a contract and he must return," Koeman is reported to have said. "This is a great club and we like to have all the players in the squad happy but he has to come back by Sunday. "My feeling is he will be here at the start of the season."

Liverpool FC chief executive Ian Ayre says the Reds will carry on spending – as Lazar Markovic finally arrives on Merseyside for his medical.
Brendan Rodgers will be given access to the club record £75million banked from the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona on Friday .

The Reds boss has already spent almost £40m in signing Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can this summer, and is prepared to double that outlay with the purchase of Benfica winger Markovic, Southampton centre-back Dejan Lovren and Belgium’s World Cup star Divock Origi.

And Ayre insists there will be even more new faces with owners Fenway Sports Group prepared to back Rodgers’ preparations for Liverpool’s return to the Champions League this coming campaign. “It’s all about building and progress,” said Ayre. “We’ll aim to continue that throughout the summer. “We’ve obviously sold Luis, but we’ve had a busy few weeks with players arriving as well.”

Really worried that this guy Lazar Markovic is going to be a big mistake. Do any of you have any faith in this guy ?

Everyone seems to have great things to say about him and the fans are really sorry he's leaving .. always a good sign. However I just worry he won't find the same space in the PL as in Portugal so it's going to take some time to adapt.

I have followed his progress since he went to benfica, this is an excellent signing. Still quite a raw talent but has the potential to become one of the very best. At the price quoted, he could become a massive steal in years to come.

Does he run a lot without the ball? Does he ever tackle? From Youtube videos it's impossible to tell these things, obviously.

Arturo Vidal was in the Monumental Stadium for a tribute to Colo Colo and used to discuss the interest of Manchester United to sign him.
"I've heard, but I have not gotten further into the topic, that's what my agent. I'm happy, enjoying my vacation, we had a very nice World and I hope the day back to Italy and then see what happens" said wheel of Juventus in dialogue with Chilevisión.
On whether he seduces this option, said that "of course, any player would like to be in the best teams in the world, but I'm taking advantage of the quiet holiday."

Can't see it happening to be honest but he would form an ideal partnership with Herrera.

"On whether he seduces this option..."

Anyway, I'd be worried if United went from a non-existent midfield to having Herrera and potentially Vidal.

There's a rumour Swansea are going to report us for tapping up Bony. It's quite incredible that while the likes of Redknapp were left to talk to our players via Sky Sports News, and Wenger received not the slightest mutter for trying to negotiate with Suarez behind our back, and Barca and Real Madrid routinely ignore the club to set up deals directly with our players, etc etc, we are the ones who seem to get absolutely hammered for any vague report of interest in another team's player.

I don't know if it's a question of that. We could react similarly to other clubs tapping our players up, but we don't. Maybe that's what needs to change.
